Goals
So my goal for the past 4 months or so has been to gain 15 lbs of lean muscle and get down to 8% body fat. My body fat has been listed as 12% because that’s what it was last time I checked, but it’s been quite a while since then. I recently purchased bf callipers (?) with a built in calculator & digital read-out. It places my bf somewhere between 4.6 and 6.2%… I assume it’s not very accurate, maybe it is, not sure. I guess I need to find another way to check it just to make sure. If it’s true that my bf is a lot lower than I thought, then it’s probably about time I ajust my goals!
I’ll post stats as soon as I know for sure…

I would say you look like 4.6 to 6.2%bf.

I think hydrostatic weighing is the most accurate way to measure % body fat. You might want to check with some nearby universities or wellness centers to see if any of them offer it. Calipers are probably a good way for self-checks and I’ve heard are more accurate than impedance devices. With a lean build like yours, the way you look as you build muscle may be as important as religiously tracking body fat.

Try Gold’s Gym. That’s where I got mine tested. They have a scale that you stand on barefoot and it does everything. Plus, it’s quick and painless.
