Just got my Accu-Measure in the mail. Now I will have a way to check my body fat every week and I can see my progress.

I have not been happy with the machine at work saying my body fat has been going up and my weight down. I don’t see how that is really that possible the pounds of fat I have could go up while doing cardio and weight lifting, not to mention eating a strict diet. Now I could see my body fat going down and my lean mass going down together but not the lean mass going down and the body fat growing.

In truth over the last 2 months is shows I have gone down 4 pounds in weight and up 5 in body fat. I will check it every Monday and see what this way tells me. I have read that the machines can be off and even more so the better in shape you get. I believe the one I have been using to be an older one because it does not connect to both the feet and arm, only the feet. But, my goal is not to lose all the lean mass I have while losing my body fat. I want to keep my lean mass and shed the extra fat.

For now I will continue on my once month with the machine and also use the Accu-Measure once a week, I think it will give me a better idea if I am going where I want to be. I can also use it to determine if the machine is working correctly.

I have been using a machine here at the local college to check my body fat. It uses some type of electronic thing to test the body fat. Sadly I have lost some weight but, it has been showing I am going up in body fat while my weight is going down. I have ordered a caliper to do my own testing. I also have a very sore muscle in my back. With all the tons of reading I have been doing I am thinking I have over done myself and I need to give it a rest. Also I think my body has been in a starvation mode. So for rest of the week I am going off my diet and weights. I will still do my cardio at home but I am going to let the rest of my body rest this week and see if it doesn’t give it a jump start for Monday. I have also changed scales, so I shows I have gained weight when I have not gained any.
