Wine and Cheese
So ended up just going to the gym to run per usual yesterday instead of joining the 5K due to the suboptimal weather (cold AND raining.. oh AND it was too early hahaha.. but happy knowing that I can do one now). Then studied all day and finally went to wine and cheese. Sampled a little of everything there (my favorite was the baked Brie!) and had some wine too. Afterwards, went downtown to a sports bar/lounge where had a few more drinks.. someone bought me a soco&lime shot and "girl scout cookie" shot, and I got myself a whiskey sour. Got a little worse after.. everyone insisted on going to IHOP so we made the ubiquitous late-night IHOP trip. I split the harvest grain and fruit pancakes with another girl, which was better.. but definitely not ideal hahaha.
So I am finding that my abdomen is definitely the hardest area to shape up. Still working on shedding that fat. Fortunately late night partying is an exception to the rule rather than the norm. Though I am making progress, I am still jiggly (even though you can see progress in my pictures). All the literature I’ve read about it says that the jiggliness (hmm probably not a word) occurs due to increased vasculature to the fat, meaning it is being mobilized for energy. So I’m just gonna keep doing my 3.1 mile runs 3X a week, lifting 3X a week and see what happens… throw in a few sprints during the runs too. Oh and clean eating.. might be the most important aspect!
Anyway hope everyone had a great weekend and is staying warm!

Sounds like you had some much needed fun. I did as well. Today, I must punish myself for my transgressions over the weekend. have a great week.

Sounds like lots of fun
I don’t think you did too bad though. Why us it that we always wanna go to IHOP after partying/drinking? LOL. I can think of much worse things that you could have picked at Ihop- e.g. cinnamon swirl french toast (my fav!)

Good times! What’s your trick to keep running as much as you do without having foot problems? That’s my problem so any help you have for me would be much appreciated.
About IHOP, the company was just exposed for animal cruelty so perhaps another late not stop with your friends will do. Check it out: www.humanesociety.org/ihop.
Keep inspiring us!

Hi Josh -
I think I’ve been fortunate not to have any problems maybe since I am currently doing short distances (3 miles each time) and even though I prefer to run outside I do some of my sessions on the treadmill when the weather is too cold or rainy. Thanks for the note about IHOP, I’m vegetarian so this is something I’m definitely very interested in.
Good luck to you!
