So, I got sick - with basically what the doctor is calling SARS and a possible touch of bronchitis…WTF!?!?! Not now!!! So frustrating and all the medicine just has the scale creeping, I have been trying not to look but I feel so swollen from it - my clothes are not tighter, just that not yourself feeling.

I was doing a pre-contest depletion diet last week just to see what it was like and to see what had changed - I was so happy with myself for going through it and not giving in, but now, I guess I am paying the price for prime cold season in Colorado. Lame! Yes, I am bitching, but when I try to work so hard and have this stupid setback. It’s ok, just downing Vitamin C like it’s going out of style and continuing to work. This cannot hold me down for long, I am just frustrated.

I am addicted to bettering myself, to working out everyday, to perfecting the image of myself, to eating right, and to the commitment of competing.

Now why do some people not understand that? I get tired of hearing – “you’re selfish, all you do is workout”, “how come you are eating that?” I hate having to justify myself and I refuse to allow it to be my downfall. Apparently, it’s working for me, so why can’t people just shut the f$%^ up and lead their own lives?

I just have to get this off my chest – anyone else?
