January 11th. New Year, new challenges.
So the new year is almost two weeks over, and 2009 has thus far been extremely positive for me in many aspects of my personal life, but also very challenging in terms of my workouts. The challenge has been in a growing number of aches and pains I have been accumulating throughout my body. My right shoulder continues to have pretty bad pain, and it feels like it is around the joint, so I am planning to see a doctor or chiropractor about it soon. But I now have some new pains in my lower right back, and in my right leg, and I have no idea where these nagging aches have come from. I think that a lot of it is the fact that I have been working a very roughshod schedule, and haven’t been getting appropriate sleep or time to recover and heal. I have been being very careful with my workouts as a result, and have been trying to stretch and just take better care of myself because I really do not want an injury!
My diet is still HORRIBLE!!!! I seem to clean it up for a couple of days, and then regress right back to eating tons of junk food while watching sports at the casino. I need to stop this bad habit ASAP! I think a trip to the grocery store will help since I don’t like to waste food at home once I’ve bought and put it in the house. Other than that tho, I have been doing consistent cardio, and having some good workouts, but I also need to be drinking more water because I have been feeling pretty dehydrated.
Work is going outstanding and I think that I may have gotten a really good promotion already! I will find out tomorrow afternoon when I meet with Tanya, but I am very optimistic about things that are going on at work and in my personal relationships. Life is good right now, and I am hopeful that I can continue this trend of positivity to make 2009 the best year of my life.
