On the Road

Friday, May 23rd, 2008

I am going away with the kid to my daughter soccer tournament today.  Is will be a test of my new clean diet.  I cooked extra chicken last night and oatmeal with flax seed in it this morning and have it set for the weekend.    Let me tell you that grilled chicken and oatmeal are not a bad breakfast.  I also pack some protein bar and shakes if I get into a jam.  I will stay with my diet if it kills me I have been working out to hard to let I slip for a few day.   I am getting skinner but according to the scale I am gain weight so this must be muscle that I am gain losing FAT.  I am starting to see result on my ab workout although still cover with a nice layer of fat.  I lost over 90 pounds in 6 months and have lost skin in all places my gut aka the spare tire GWWWW.  Hopefully this will go away with time.   The hotel has a quote gym but we will see.  I will find away to workout with what they have.

Help with Supplements!!!!

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008

Started to take BSN NO-Xplode for about a week now and have seen an increase in my workout but the most of all more energy and the sore feeling go’s away a lot faster.  This help with the 4:30 am workout.  Can you take a fat burner with this later in the morning and mid afternoon?  In some of the blogs they say you need to take additional creatine with this product?  Started to really watch my diet with the help of calorie King Software,   I have been eating 6 time a day about 350- 450 calories at a time with 55-60% coming from protein 20-25 from fat and 15-20 from carbs.  This seems to be working.  As a Chef I would like to know what other people are eat that has a lot of flavor, maybe should start a blog if there is already not one to share recipes and ideas?

Old jeans did not fit. They were too BIG!!!!!

Thursday, May 8th, 2008

Today started off as a crappie day off got called into work for a BS meeting.  But this has turned into the best day that I have had in months.  Did the honey do list then took a shower.  My wife rearrange the walk in closet so my pants where a mess so just grabbed a pair of jean and put them on.  Holy crape they where loose took them off and looked at the size and it was 40. I have not worn them in 3-4 years.  These are kind of day that keep you motivated to get up at 4:30 and go to the gym sweat your ass off, eat a clean diet and give up drink BEER.  I threw out the old fat pant and will never go back to them.  Can’t wait to hit the gym tomorrow I am thinking of going to night, I am so pumped up.

HIIT Cardio WOW What a Workout

Saturday, May 3rd, 2008

Just started with HIIT cardio this  week.  I thought that people where crazy when I saw then doing it at the gym, like this can’t work only 15-20 minutes how much can this help.  Wednesday I tried it and was I SHOCKED.  First I did a 3 minute warm up then 10 set of 30 second all out then 30 second of rest flowed by a 5 minute cool down.  After about 5 sets thought that I was going to Die but keep going.  This was the best cardio workout I ever had never mind the time saver.  My legs and but where killing my but what a rush.  I was not this tired after 45-60 minutes on the ski machine. I did another session of this on Friday with the same results so I am sold on this new cardio portion of my workout. I will add this to my work out 3 times a week if I can keep it up.  My leg feel sore but seems to be helping in definition.
