Thursday, May 15th, 2008I absolutely love the work-out regime. Today I did one of my favorites - I call them combinations some call them builds. I started with a light weight in each hand as I sit on the floor, legs out and together, back straight, weights in each hand by my side. You have to be warmed up for this or it can hurt you and don’t do it at the end of a routine because you risk losing balance. I roll to my side and lift one weight up in the air over my head - typically with a curl then press move. Continuing the roll, I move into a side plank position with the weight in the air. This can be tricky if you don’t have good balance. Then take the weight and lower it while maintaining the sideways plank, back up then roll to a controlled sitting position. It’s a great burn if you do it right. I do each side 10 times for one set - three sets each.
I’m traveling to Miami this weekend and will be using resistance bands along with heavy cardio (swimming in the ocean). If someone has a better idea than the bands I’m open for suggestions. I would enjoy mixing it up. Great days!!!
