It’s getting a little easier to get up early on my own while my hubby is working nights. This morning I did Chest, Shoulder & Triceps. Felt pretty good too. Then a little later this morning I rode a mile on my bike. I’m hoping to get a speedwalk in later this afternoon with the kids and the dog. Now I just need to work on my eating…..Anybody got any good recipes they want to share?

I tried intervals tonight for the first time. I have a bike stand so I can ride my bike inside, so I did that since It’d be easier to keep track of the time. I did a 5 minute warm-up 7 intervals of 30 sec.(on an intensity scale of 1-10, a 9) @ high intensity & 90 sec @ lower intensity(a 3 on an intensity scale) then a 5 minute cool down. Then I did 15 reverse crunches (starting at the top and going down) & 15 normal crunches. Couldn’t do anymore. So that’s my workout for today.

I’m sore from yesterday! But man it feels good!lol So today, one of my friends called me this morning at 7:15 to see if I wanted to go for our speedwalk on the hills behind our house. It’s about 2.5 miles long, and without kids we get done in about 30 minutes. It felt great to be doing something and not being lazy!

Yesterday we hosted a BBQ/party for my brother-in-law who is moving to CA. It had all the fixings of cheeseburgers, hotdogs, and grilled chicken. Chips and potato salad and of course cake. Instead of not eating any cake I had a large piece with lots of frosting. I didn’t even think about it…until this morning when I was working out and I realized I had sabotaged all my efforts by eating it! We host pretty much ALL our family functions so I am normally the one who plans the menu. I have had a hard time picking healthier food that everyone will eat, but after realizing what I did this morning, I am going to be going to planning much different menus! I’ve been catering to them instead of trying to help them eat healthier….even if it is only at my house.
So, today was leg day! I completed all 3 sets with 10-13 reps each of leg press, deadlift, lunges, leg extension, leg press & calf raises. It was hard but I love the seeing my legs work hard! Next time I need to up the weight on some stuff. I also took the dog for a 2 mile bike ride then did another 3 miles by myself.

Today I rode my bike with the dog (1 mile) then came home to mow the lawn. I wore a pedometer which logged 2 miles of walking. It took more effort than pushing a stroller the same distance with 70 lbs (2 kids) in it! Also took me 30 minutes longer. Then I pruned some of our rose bushes back and weeded the rose garden. So that’s it for today. Tomorrow I going to get in some lifting along with more cardio!

I took a little time off this past week. Basically just being lazy. So today I went for a 3.5 bike ride and it felt great! It is supposed to get up to 85 degrees today, but it was nice when I went. It’s warm enough I promised the kids the could play in the sprinkler. Anyway, I’m just doing cardio this week, then next week I’ll add in the weights again. I have 14 weeks to get into my goal dress, so I need to get my butt in gear!Oh and I need to work on our nutrition too. Anyway….until tommorrow.

I’ve noticed a little change in how some of my clothes fit, but not a whole lot in my weight so I decided to take my measurements and I am SO HAPPY!!! I lost 1 inch off my arms, 1.5 inches off my hips, 2 inches from my waist, 2 inches off each calf and 2 inches off each thigh. Yeah!! Happy day!!

Well, Today is hubby’s day off which normally means we sleep in (as long as the kids will let us), but instead I scheduled a 3 mile speedwalk up the hills behind our houses with my friend for 7:30am. That way we didn’t have to take the kids. Then came home and took th dog for a quick bike ride. I give her (the dog) more of a workout I didn’t peddle as hard so she was pulling me a little bit. It wasn’t as much of a workout for me. My husband said the dog was bummed she didn’t go with me for the walk and sat by the back door for 20 minutes waiting for me to come back. 
I really need to go get some more running shoes so I can start running her instead. I enjoy running when I do it, but for some reason it also intimidates me. Don’t know why. So that is my daily workout. Going to get the rest of the day started now!

So I walked 2 miles today pushing the stroller with a 40+ lb kid in it. Then this evening I did Back & Biceps and took a 1 mile bike ride. Oh and I planted a bunch of flowers. I ate okay Tried to remember to drink Water and eat every 3 hrs. So pretty good day I guess

Today was leg day. I really didn’t want to get out of bed this morning, but I tore myself away from the nice warmth and headed out to the cold garage. I did 2 sets of Leg press, Deadlifts, Leg Extension, and Leg Curl. I have a busy day ahead, otherwise I would’ve done 3 sets. So that’s what I did today. Hopefully I’ll get to do my 3mile speedwalk this afternoon.
