Figure/ BB competitors - I need your comments

How often do you get off track sometimes?
This week I pretty much have not done much, went to the gym sunday, killed my legs.  Monday did back and just made it back last night and did a little something.  I kind of wanted to take a week off to organize myself and try to really focused on a plan.  I feel like my work outs are not consistent and I am all over the place.  I also ate whatever I wanted.  I kind of feel guilty but its done.

I really dont’ like feeling this way.  I need to get out of it.  I start doubting myself and feel like I am not where I want to be.

I guess my real questions is, how normal is this?  Do we just all go through it and its a matter of just getting back on track.  but how?

First thing you do is set a goal. Do you want to compete? If so look up the next competition in your area and pick a date.

Second thing you do is write down a strategy plan for this comp. Ask yourself questions like this

*How many weeks out do I want to start cutting?
    * What are the weak point in my body that I need to work out the hardest?
    * How much time can I devote to my training?
    * Are there people around me who will deter me from staying on my clean diet and workout regimen? If so how will you take care of this situation.

Tony Robbins said that goals are dreams with deadlines. You must set goals so you can stay focus on your final outcome.

Once you do that then you are half way there. :)

Thank you for responding. I keep debating if I can do a competition or not. I feel like I won’t make it. If I decide to do one I think I don’t want to tell anyone.
I thought about one in September which gives me time however I guess my first goal is to just get down to 18% bf then go from there, to 15%. I think I just want to look good, healthy and get down on bf more than I care to compete.

Ok that’s cool. You don’t have to tell anyone. This is what you do. If you decide to comp (no big deal if you don’t but I high suggest you do because it makes you accountable for you actions) pick a date and then start blogging about preparing for a trip to Hawaii or something.

Don’t worry about loosing bodyfat. This past November 2007 my bodyfat was 28 percent and right now I’m down to 14. If you are dedicated and determine anything in possible.

Wow, omg you went from 28 to 14 already? ARe you carb cycling?

I am going to work on a plan and just stick with it. First i need to organize my work out and just stick with it for the next 6-8 weeks and see how that goes along with my diet. thanks for the support.
How did you start prepping? What is a good way to do this?

  5. goddessamazon Says:

    Yes, I am carb cycling.

How did I start prepping? I just wrote out a plan, took my measurements and went into action. Is that what you are asking?

Tell me what you want to do and I’ll give you my suggestions. I realize that what works for me may not work for you but I’ll do my best to help you with what I know.

I was thinking of what you wrote to me, I have decided to just set a goal of getting into this bikini i bought. I have never wore a two piece and I think that is more of a realistic goal for me at this point. I really want to reduce my bodyfat. I have been reading up a lot on carb cycling. I know it works and it has worked for me. I just need to keep doing it and just stick with it. I think I am doing it ok then I am not sure and I keep going back and forth. I dont’ want to do that. I want to just make a plan like you did and go into action.

    I appreciate you writing.

What do you suggest I do?

good blog and you are so supportive goddessamazon and it helps me as. As i am stuck as well. I think you can do it once you get into the program and visualize you will be hooked and the result you see will keep you going. Just dont let anything get in your way. Will lkeep reading your blogs. You go and that bikini will become a reality.

beby24 - Ok so your first goal is to get into a bikini! Ok so what date do you want to wear this bikini? Also, I want you to nail or hang the bikini you intend to wear by your door in your bedroom so you can see it everyday to remind you of your goals.

suzysunshine - Excellent point! Visualization can do wonders for goal achievement.

I want to wear this bikini by May :)
It funny you say hang it up, that is what my boyfriend suggested I do. I think visualization is really good too, I just can’t seem to see myself. I think I am still stuck in that fat chick. I go shopping and I go for the same sizes at times too. I have tried to find a competitor that is my height and that I could use as motivation or you know…but I can’t seem to find one yet or see myself. I hope that makes sense.

suzy- thanks for the comment and the add request. I am going tto keep going.
This weekend I was talking to my bf about it too. I told him I was sick and was going to just take a break. Of course my ass was in the gym yesterday. I love weight lifting and going to the gym. If I could only get this whole diet to the point that I feel I am not all over the place I think I would give myself a little more credit.
