Signifigant others and bodybuilding, clean eating and an active lifestyle..

I have been on this constant debate in my head for a while.. is it really possible to fully embrace the lifestyle of bodybuilding including clean eating and keeping an active lifestyle if the one you are with isn’t on the same page? I’m not saying the one your with has to fully embrace the complete lifestyle with you but at least parts? Does it work when they make an effort to understand and respect your commitment to this lifestyle- offering support?
I know personally when I was married it drove this huge wedge between us.. now that I am getting ready to maybe start dating I was just wondering what the general census was???

My bf does not train or eat healthy at all but he supports me and encourages me…when you care about someone they will want you to succeed and be happy! Good luck finding a good one :)

date a personal trainer. sharing a lifestyle makes a world of difference in how you look AND feel. :)

It won’t work. Bodybuilding is a lifestyle and if your significant other’s lifestyle doesn’t mix then it won’t work. First hand experience. That’s like dating a drug user if you don’t do drugs or dating a buddhist if your christian. It may work but odds are you’d be happier with someone with the same interests.
