Thoughts for the day…SORE!!!
I’ve added a new dimension to my workouts…it’s called "Deadlifts and Squats!" Ever heard of them…lol!
WoW do they change the way you look at lifting heavy! They help with improving every aspect of lifting. Fantastic Core strengthener ~ Love It!
These past couple of weeks I’ve been concentrating on shoulders and legs and as always the diet. The diet part has been very clean for about a week now! I feel super great not tired nor hungry and I feel very strong. I hope this keeps up for a while - as we know we have to take advantage of these times when all is good.
I’m getting excited about the 10k Indian Run that is coming up on the 20th, I have figured out that I am not a runner…duh…but I love the outdoors and hiking through the trails so I do these just for me and knowing that I can; walk or run ~ it doesn’t matter to me. Besides, I’m getting a nice collection of t-shirts.
Until next time…LIFT HEAVY!!!!

Just got back from camping - wow, what a blast!- I have never had so much energy ever in my life!
I owe it all to my workout program and adding the running into it. We did one 5-8 mile hike a day with one or two 2-3 mile hikes a day too.
I had so much fun with friends and all the kids. *I’ll post a pic under the thumbnails of trip.*
This week we are leaving for the beach for 10 days…can’t wait to show off my "new" body to friends and family!!
I’ll update with pics and vacation details when I return.
God, I can’t wait until this next 20 pounds is GONE!!
Happy trails to all!!!

That is my new question. I am thinking about losing another 15 pounds or so and then when I do I am afraid that I will have to do something about this loose belly skin. Can anyone help me on this decision. What are other women doing to help this awful problem. Will my stomach tighten up on it’s own?? Please someone advise!
Thanks in advance for any and all support!

Took a few weeks off from pushing up weights. Been working on my running skills (Lol!) and losing weight.
This Saturday I am running the Ymca 5K Dash & Splash ~ I hope it’s cool I don’t do too well in the heat.
My girls softball tournament are over next week and I’m really looking foward to a lifting schedule again!

For those that are interested…Saturday was a blast!!! We had a total of 36 people running, jogging or walking in the Susan Komen 5K! Downtown Columbus had over 40,000 people to support Breast Cancer Awareness! How Awesome is that! We were very proud to be apart of this event! I uploaded one picture of part of our group. It was difficult to keep us all together because we all had different reasons for running this race. Our next event is the 5K Splash & Dash on June 14! Later this fall I hope to do a 10K. This running is very addicting!!

I’m still hanging in there, making small changes everyday. I love my new life!! It’s awesome to see how a person can change their body.
I am getting comments from friends that I haven’t seen in awhile. They are saying things like "Wow! How are you getting so fit!" and "I want to start doing what you’re doing."
I’ve began quite a little club!!
I am working on improving my time for my next 5k, which is coming up on May 17. I’m really excited, I have recruited 27 people to run with me in this event!! Pretty awesome, Huh!! I named our team "The Mile Chasers" so look us up after May 17 at the Susan B. Komen website.
I hope to update my pictures soon. Been putting it off. I just want to be sure that I see some awesome changes since my last photos. I know I sure feel different and WAY more energy!!
Stay Strong and Push yourself!!

I had the most exuberant day of my life!
April 12 was not only my birthday it was the start of the rest of my life!! I ran my first 5K race, the whole event wrapped around me.
I can honestly say that I was high on nerves, emotions and fears! I have never felt so alive before; every hair on my body was filled with electricity.
I am doing my next 5K on May 17, 2008 ~Susan G. Komen~ Can’t wait!!!

I’m getting nervous about this race. As I have never ran anything in my life before. I went to the Running shoe store the other day and bought a new pair of running shoes. I hope they help my knee feel better.
As for training, I am working a little harder on the diet and I jog/run 3 (mostly) to 5 miles every other day. And on the odds days I do some sort of crosstraining like elliptical, biking, swimming and today I’m going to do yoga. Yikes, me being one with the world?
Anyways I am trying very hard to make the changes that I need. I have inspired many people around me to start looking at their own fitness and making a few goals. In knowing that; all this work keeps me high in motivation!!

Who the hell invented the scale??? I hate it! Yes I know I should stay away from it, but I CAN’T!
I have been working hard during my workouts and I have added running 3x’s a week. I eat clean (mostly) I mean I have had 2 slices of pizza on 2 occasions, went drinking twice (drank cranberry/vodka, tequila the second time), and then Easter I was pissed and ate like a pig. Damn…I felt like crap today. But I still weigh basically the same as when I started. I know, I know~Muscle weighs more. That’s why everyone should throw out that damn scale!!! Do you agree?!?
