Monday is the SLAP Repair Surgery. I’m feeling a little anxious, mostly about how I will feel physically for awhile afterwards. I don’t like being "doped up" on medication so I’m not looking forward to the narcotic pain meds.
One of my regular doctors expressed some concern about the effects of the narcotics on my chronic, disabling condition. If the worst happens then I will have to be hospitalized. I just have to take it one thing at a time.

I’m a Christian but I haven’t been walking close to God for awhile now so my faith is not much consolation. I realize there is a Scripture that says He is faithful even when we are not. However, I also know it is infinitely better to CHOOSE to suffer with Him than to suffer alone.  I’ve been flying solo for awhile though and it feels deceptively good.
