4 weeks out

Saturday, July 14th, 2007

Everything seems to be in place.  Trying to maintain my current condition is very tricky.  I am having to keep a close eye on my food intake.  I have had to bump some things up here and there so as not to burn muscle for energy at this level of bodyfat.  I have never been at this level of conditioning before and I find it very tricky to manipulate caloric intake and cardio levels.

As far as training goes, I pulled a low back muscle doing some DoggCrapp (DC) Training with a new workout partner I met at my gym and I have been babying that all week.  Really poor workouts.  I should’ve known better to be pushing myself at the intensity levels DC training requires.  Oh well, live and learn like everything else in my life has been.  I have to have a painful experience to learn anything it seems LOL.  Going to do shoulders, calves and abs here in a bit along with some LIIT post workout cardio.

I will be really focusing on my training, posing, cardio and diet the next 4 weeks so I may not be on the computer too much.   If you don’t get a reply very fast you will know why.  Gotta go hit ‘em hard.  SHOWTIME is near!  God bless and take care.

6 weeks until SHOWTIME

Sunday, July 1st, 2007

Hello to all who care and thanks for stopping by to read this.  It has been 6 months since I started my transformation from fat guy to a competitive bodybuilder.  This has been a lifelong dream of mine and I made a decision come hell or high water I wasn’t going to quit this time.  Not even MAJOR NECK SURGERY was going to keep me from reaching my destination.  It has only been 87 days since I went under the knife and recovery is coming along good, praise God for that!  I am now 6 weeks out from my first ever competition and am excited as ever at my conditioning thus far.  I even went out for pizza today after my photos and a 23 mile bike ride.  The weather was wonderful and couldn’t resist getting out an enjoying life as it should be enjoyed despite being in contest prep mode.  The hard work thus far has well been worth it.  I thank all of you who encouraged me through the difficult and adverse times through all of this and I hope I can be there for you as well.
