Quitting Smoking!!

Quitting Smoking!!

Let me tell you I am on day number six and this is not for the weak!!! I have gone through with the major headaches and I am still a not very nice person to be around.  However, things are starting to lighten up a little and I am getting back in the swing of work life.  The one thing that is driving me nuts is that I am afraid to leave my desk now I have no reason to. Except for water. However, if I can quit smoking I can do any thing.  Watch Out Jamie Easton here I come for your position.  JK

Yeah Brandi, just keep from smoking. I quit about 5 years ago when my nephew was born. Woke up and decided I was done and never smoked a cigarette again.

Since I did quit, whenever I first think I can’t do something, I just remind myself that I quit smoking. I will tell you from experience that things are going to get worse before they get better.

In about another week your lungs are going to realize that you are no longer smoking and will start to try and clean all the crud out. You’re going to start coughing stuff up and feel like crap. Doing cardio will help your lungs get the stuff out. Breathing in steam will make things better temporarily. But smoking another cigarette will make you feel all better. But you’ll have to start all over again.

Stay strong and thing long term benefits, not short term. If you ever need any support or just someone to scream at let me know.

    Christopher
