Halloween Run

It was so nice here in NY today i decided to go for a 4 mile run after work. For me I had a really good pace going. When I finished I checked my watch and saw that I finished in 30:39 averaging 7:39 per mile. That’s pretty quick for me and was really pleased with the result. Afterwards I did my 3 sets of pullups and felt really good, think I’ll do it again tomorrow.

Running and Pullups

The park I run in put up a pullup bar. My doctor told me I couldn’t do chinups because of the bicep tear so I’ve started doing 3 sets of pullups and mixed grip chin/pullups. Left hand is always overhand grip and I switch the right hand between underhand and overhand. Right after I finish my run I do my first set, than I walk to my car and get my powerade, walk back and do my next set. Than I walk around the park for a cool down and do 1 last set. I started about 2 weeks ago and I’m thinking maybe I can get the lats growing again. Hopefully by next spring and summer I’ll be doing sets of 20 or 30.

Right Shoulder

Monday, October 20th, 2008

I have decided to take it easy for a week or 2 and see how my shoulder feels. I hurt it benching and doing weighted dips last week. I think I’ll have to strengthen my rotator cuff. I’ll continue doing everything else I can and continue my running but I’ll need to heal my shoulder before I can work my chest or shoulders. If anyone has any exercises I should please post them. Thanks.
