So, I am the queen of yo-yo dieting… I’m tired of it and I am so dissappointed in myself. In June of 2006 I got down to almost 150lbs… and since I have gained about 20lbs… I looked and felt so good… but I made too many excuses and stopped my diet and exercise regimine which I know was the problem. By christmas of 2007 I weighed 172… I was disgusted… I tried weight watchers but when I hit 156 and got stuck for 5-6 weeks I quit… and now I am back between 166-170 (I weigh in tomorrow). I gained 10-14 lbs between april and august. I feel disgusting… and I want to give it another whirl… but I have many obsticles that I need to get out in the air and how I might deal with them…
1. Hectic Schedule… I am in classes for 32 hrs every week + I will have projects, pre-labbing, homework, and studying… I will also be working at least every other weekend for 16 hours.
1a. This is the hardest obsticle… but I will have to bring healthy snacks like fruit, veggies, and bring a meal with me to school instead of eating the food in the cafeteria because I don’t know how they made the food and I have a terrible time gagging down a lettuce salad.
Mon- Wed I should head to the gym immediately after class so I can’t make excuses
Tu-th… I should bring clothes with me to clinicals and go straight to the gym for a work out be it cardio or weights
Sa-sun… bring gym clothes to work and go to the gym after work because its close to my gym. Also I should bring my own lunch to work so I don’t go out or eat at the nursing home because they offer very little choices…
2. Classmates wanting to go to bars… I am good at avoiding this, and I shall not give into temptation
3. B/f’s family… they have never helped me with dieting… if there is a family dinner I can go to I should bring my own food and stay away from the kitchen to avoid temptation.
….. I have to leave so i will add more later
EDIT: I am back from work and exhausted is what I am right now. After work I went to the grocery store and I got… Chicken, eggs, whole grain (not enriched) english muffins to make egg sandwiches with, popcorn if I have a moment of the muchies and I bought some different on the go soups for school. I already had apples and grapes in my refridgerator at home, but I also bought a couple of bananas for a nice postwork out snack. I also have some frozen veggies for a stir fry… someday I might be able to eat raw veggies but I have a hard time with vegetables.
Does anyone think some kind of V8 juice would be good to replace my veggies?
Anyway… first day of class and weigh in tomorrow… I hope to get off to a good start. I am excited!
Sara
