Please Explain Calories to me!!

Ok, so I decided that I’m doing something totally wrong. I’ve been so fixed in my brain that I can only eat 1200 calories a day to loose weight. Yes, just like every articles say… this plan has backfired on me. I’ve noticed over the last couple years that I can’t get past a certain weight. I’ll get down to about 156 and this is from only eating 1200 calories a day and working my butt off. This does me well for about two weeks. Then things starting getting in the way and for some reason I start to thing its "all or nothing" in terms of my diet.

If you read some of my past blogs you will see that I have been a binge eater. I havn’t binge eaten since The beginning of the summer, but I NEVER want to go back to these ways. EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER!!!!! It’s the worst feeling ever. So I’m trying to get out of this mode. I love eating clean, it makes me feel so much better so i’ve been doing this a little more consistantly over time.

My point is that I need to try a new strategy. Instead of eating only 1200 calories a day (which is two weeks out of four doable) I’m just going to vary the calories I eat a day from 1300 to 1600. I think this will allow me to speed up my metabolism and Keep me from ever getting really hungry. Also, I think I’m going to eat more in the mornings because I tend to eat more later and that might be from the lack of food I eat earlier in the day. Hopefully this will all make a difference.

 Please let me know what you think!! I want eveyone’s input here. If I thought something through wrong, tell me!! I love learning new things and even better, using the things I already know and actually applying them to my life!

It’s 12:26 and protein pancakes suck (and so does OU!)

I tried the protein pancake recipie with oats, protein, eggs, splenda, cinnemon and water. They sucked! the texture was terrible. Whoever thinks that they’re awesome is just telling themselves that so they wont be tempt to go down to Kerbey Lane or Ihop and get ledgit pancakes. Just warning you. I’m going to stick to my protein shakes. NOw those are great.

 As for my little journey, I’m down to 156. It’s great. I havn’t been at this weight in over a year. I will work hard to loose another 7 pounds by October 27th (my 20th bday!). I can already tell a huge difference though. I’m starting to see definition again and my tummy is way flatter. It’s good stuff. I can’t wait to write again telling everyone that I’m closer than before!

 By the way, I tried a fit test from the work out video series called Insanity and it was rediculous. I was dripping sweat in less than twenty minutes. It’s by the same people who do p90x I think. Check it out.

I am now offically starting my goal towards getting to the 130’s. I have 21lbs to loose and would like to do it in three months. By my birthday (Ocotber 27th) I would like to be down to 140’s. I have a good idea of how I’m going to do it. I just need a lot of support. I will start taking progress pictures tonight!

Wish me luck! I want my 20’s, along with the rest of my life, to be amazing.
