The numbers so far

Welp took my measurements again today and ran the numbers on LBM to see how I was comming along…since weight is not an acurate indicator of progress. When I started on 7/27 I was 200lbs w/ a BMI of 31% so I was 138 lbs of muscle and 62 lbs of fat. Now today I’m 188.5lbs and a BMI of 21.8% so Im 147lbs of muscle and 41 lbs of fat. So in closing I have Gained 11lbs of lean mass and lost 21lbs of fat….. not bad in less than 8 weeks back in the gym. Every1 have a great week :)

After 60 mins. Cardio

I feel great, took some pic’s and did a full set of measurements. Shoulder still sore after workouts but not the pain I have had in the past. Still using fairly light weights and doing alot of cardio …main goal is lose body fat and keep as much muscle as I can. Then Bulking up while eating clean. Still on a Monday Upper body, Tuesday lower body, Wednesday Cardio then Thursday Upper body and Friday Lower body then 2x Cardio Saturday and Sunday. Gives me plenty of time to rest and also seems to work out with my work schedule. I’m sure it will be a year or more before I will need to advance to a double split routine. Heck I am really confused with all the new supplements, back in my day it was just eat good and take amino’s and protien shakes now OMG I don’t know whats real and whats hype. I’m just doing 2 exercises for each body part, 3 sets x 10 reps. I’m getting a good pump and the old familliar soreness post work out. I can’t believe I let myself go so far, but it is great to be back in the body building community and making new friends. Back in gym

August 25, 2007

Having to take it slow and listen to my body, see that I’m loosing body fat so I am well on my way to my cut goal. Turned out that after 2 cortisone injections I think im gonna be ok, just doing alot of cuff strengthing excersizes. Just good to be back in the gym and online. Been in a funk since my injury and glad to be back :)

 

Doc’s thinks it’s a tear

Well title say’s it all, MRI scheduled later this week then off to the ortho for follow up…. it just plain sucks….1st ever injury. Will keep you all up to date,for now ice, sling, vicoden and rest….. will just have to do lower body and ab’s + cardio. All in all good to be back in the gym though :)

Hmmm nasty pain in left shoulder

July 29, 2007

Well, this is not good news, did upper body on thursday and hit shoulders a bit harder trying to get a good feel. Woke up Friday morning with sever pain in my shoulder. I rested all weekend and still no improvement so off to the doc tomorrow, never had a BB injury b4  so just wanna check it out, ice and two days rest have not shown improvement. I’m worried I was not well warmed up, or have gotten weak around my shoulder……. may have to just do cardio for a bit till I get this straight :(

Back in the gym

Welp here I am 1 week back in the gym and sore. Gonna post some pic’s maybe tomorrow, they are sad…I’m over weight and getting old, but they will be great to compare too in the comming months. I’m just glad I decided to get back in the gym :)
