The last two weeks have been interesting to say the least. I have had to take a little time off the gym. My son gave me his cold or flu or something that lasted about 10 days. I still have kept my diet going good for the last two weeks and managed to maintain my 210 pounds. Tomorrow I get to start training again. I am scheduled to have a complete physical at the doctors tomorrow. Have not had one for years. Well, I got a few weeks left till I have to be at 10%. May as well get started.

Crunch time is upon us. I started on my journey earlier this year to accomplish single digit bodyfat percentage. I am still 15% bodyfat. I could sit here and make excuses but the bottom line is I have not been committed and disciplined enough. Yes, I have had training injuries, but, I did not injure my fork and spoon. They are doing very well as obvious by my waist line. So tomorrow, I will say goodbye to by good friend Sam Adams and join the race for the 200 pound goal. 200 may not get me to single digits, but it will be close. Then I can start great in 2008. The year of the GUNS!!
Enjoy Life.

I have tried a few times to start writing a blog. I must be doing something wrong because I end up with an error and the page goes blank.
The last 3 weeks have been a huge challenge with my training. My "lifestyle" is still doing well, but the injuries have forced me into a 2-3 week layoff. For those of you who have read my journal, know I love training legs. This is the third or fourth week I have not been able to train them. Oh well. By layoff, I mean not training to my full potential. Sleeping in is not an option. 4:30AM is my sanity, 4:30AM is MY time.

I recently ran into an old co-worker and one of the first questions he asked me was, "So do you still workout?". For some reason this has been on my mind for the last few days. I guess it’s the little voice in my head saying, your not training hard enough, your not eating right, your not getting enough rest, your not taking care of yourself like you used to, and your getting older. The more I try to tell him to shut up the louder his voice becomes. The only time he is quiet is when training is going good and my nutrition is right on the money. So I guess thats the reason I have decided to keep a journal on BB.com and start blogging my weekly thoughts and feelings on training, nutrition and life in general. With any luck i will make some friends along the way and get to know some like minded people.
One thing I will point out is that if you look through the bodyspace pages on here you will find that the people who are in the best shape don’t just eat right and exercise for 16 weeks, it’s a lifestyle for them. If your going to be fit, muscular and lean, eating junk food is something done rarely. Maybe they are listening to the little voice in their hear too.
