"to be down to 140lbs (at the high end of goal). Once I hit 140lbs, possibly try for 120lbs. We will see. Has been a hard 2 years, want to reach goal ASAP!"

Diet!

Well, I guess not a diet, but a Lifestyle change? Previously I had lost over 100lbs by joining Weight Watchers. I have now gone away from that (when I hit a plateau) and am trying something different. For the last few weeks I have been tracking my eating/ nutrition/ exercise on Livestrong.com. I really like it. I see now that I was definitely NOT getting enough protein at all in my diet, and I wish I knew about that before. It felt like I would go to the gym and work, work, work and see no tone at all and no real definition or change to my body, besides the fact that I was losing fat. I was not really building my strength or muscles. Ever since I have started to feed my body with more protein, in the last few weeks alone, I have seen a huge change in the tone of my shoulders and calves, and even a little in my quads. I aim to still work hard, as I definitely still have a lot more to go. But, I feel a lot more alert and awake and just feel good in general by eating an almost 80-90% "clean" diet, and atempting to not eat as many processed foods! And I am quite proud of myself for really trying every day to be sure my ratios are 40/30/30 w/ protein, carbs, and fats! :)
