shin splints, pre season and protein!
Im two months into my shin splints rehab program. and its going well! Started off with 30 mins walkin, and every time after that i take off 3 mins of walking and run instead. Just completed 2 mins walkin, 8 mins of running 3 times! Shins slightly sore but i wouldnt say they’re painful. First time in a little over 2 years i’ve been able to run for that long without pain. OH THE JOY!
Pre season is 9 days away so im lookin good for at least 30 minutes of that session! Just do the running maybe a few light ball skills.
Even though i’ve drastically reduced my calories and ive introduced some cardio i’m still @ 81kgs!
:) high protein is doin the trick! Off the beer for another 2 months now so i’ll see how much i can really get outta my body before i get back to uni! Much Luv1

As someone else who suffers from shin splints off and on for years (over 10 myself), I can imagine the joy of running without pain. I’m jealous
