Feeling the changes….

Wednesday, February 14th, 2007

It’s been about two weeks since my last posting and I’ve made great strides at the gym, even without the hydroxycut.  Right now my sets have me doing 8 to 12 reps quick and with a lighter weight, then 6 to 8 reps with a heavy weight a little slower and then 8 to 10 reps as quickly as possible with a weight about half way between the other two.
This helps keep my heart rate up while allowing me to build my strength.  I’m also at the gym four times a week and sped about 15 minutes in the sauna after each gym day.
For the past two weeks this has been working really well, especially having more cheat days than usual.  There are a couple of thing that I’m fighting against when it comes to leaning up, genetics and self control.  The self-control on what I’m eating is pretty much under control.  I have indulged myself quite a bit but I keep watching the fat coming off.
That’s where the genetics part comes in.  I come from a stocky family and that’s what I’m fighting against and determined to win it.  So now that I’m beginning to reach the lowest body fat % I have ever had I’m beginning to feel a difference.
This past week I’ve been feeling my muscles against my skin.  I’ve always had so much “beef’ laying between the actual muscle and my skin that the sensation is new.  I’m not sure if others have actually felt this before but this new feeling is awesome because I consider it an added bonus and it keeps me going to the gym.
See giving up the tortillas, beans and rice isn’t killing me….actually it’s probably helping me to live longer.  Still sticking to the goal of building more muscle but the primary goal is to drop a little more of the fat.  So far I’m slowly still losing body weight but I am gaining in size.  Always remember that even though fat takes up more space than muscle, muscle weighs more than fat.
Anyone else out there been through this type of changes before?
Have a good one.
B
