When Preparing 4 a show, some of u may know this and some of u won’t. Some of u may b unsure, and some of u won’t.
1. Pick a date u want 2 compete.
2. Pick out and make a plan 4 ur show.
3. Make sure u have a sure fire game plan.
4. Make sure ur diet is on point.
5. Start ahead 2 make sure ur workouts work well with ur diet.
6. U have plenty of rest.
7. Keep track of the foods u eat, how much, don’t MISS anything.
8. When u do a show, make sure if u do another, depending on wether it’s a week away, u have enough
rest. Let ur body recover. If u don’t have a show 4 let’s say 6 months or so…..take a week or 2 off.
9. Listen 2 ur body.
10. Stay focused.
11. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

This is what I looked like 4 my July 19th show.
Holding water and was flat…….and lost muscle size
Was’nt sure I wanted anyone else 2 see this besides Kat, and everybody who was at the show.
When I saw these pics, I was in horror!
I messed up 2 months b4 June 28th…..That’s when It all started….I was 2 do a show then, but a groin pull said otherwise….so I focused on Kat’s show….then my diet started 2 waiver….I figured let me eat alittle more so I won’t be dieting 4 so long untill I do a show,…..low and behold the yo yo EFFECT!
I was still trying 2 workout, and diet much as I could, My friend Steve from the gym said, U can’t do that" I can’t see u doing a show in 2 months, u don’t have the veins popping out, or the lines, u look kinda’ smooth, fon’t get mad at me 4 saying that……
I didn’t, I took it 2 heart and tried 2 maintain a good clean, well somewhat clean diet. This is where it gets messed up. I was’nt keeping track of my food intake, I started eating more….not really the bad food, but food with sodium in.
The start of the end…Kat says 2 me, there is a show called the Garden States, I should do it,…..Now my mind is ok, just do it, not I WANT 2 do….Since I was young, no matter what I did when it came 2 win, I won…..no 2nd place or 3rd place, always 1st.
THe only reason I wanted 2 do the Garden States was 2 win……my drive, the passion 4 bodybuilding was gone, only the drive 2 win was there…..Then and only then the end set in…..not really paying attention I started 2 train different and diet different…things I never did b4…..
my mistake, thus 2 make a long story short,….the nite b4 the show I looked somewhat ok….the next morning,….I was a lard ass…I just blew up……2 weeks prior 2 that I mentioned in another blog I was stuck at 212lbs, couldn’t lose anything or gain anything…….so the Garden States was nothing but a faint memory….Next week was the Empire States…I’m doing that 1! Again, if u weren’t paying attention 2 what I said b4….my drive was gone only 2 win.
That week I was determined 2 break that 212lbs mark…..I did it my way……suffice 2 say…..the nite b4, I was a little "BITCH" not feeling right cuz I had’nt broke the mark much as I wanted. Kat gave me something 2 help rleive my built up pressure if u know what I ean…..u see I had’nt really been able 2 do that like I used……and that day all hell broke lose!

That nite b4 bed I realized….1 element missing from my line up…it was the carbs……I needed more carbs….since I hadn’t carbed up enuff fri……I had 2 frozen pizzas and what ever else I could think of b4 bed……and I had alittle b4 the show….Got weighed and low and behold…199 1/2 lbs….check my video where I thought I wasw gonna weigh 205-207lbs…..I think I weighed close 2 that by the time I set foot on stage with carbing up b4…..
what 2 do and what not 2 do when preparing 4 a show…….
I came in flat, and still holding water, but 2 my pleasure, I beat the mark I WANTED 2, DID WHAT SOME DID’NT THINK WAS POSSIBLE…thats all that matter 2 me….my placing was well deserved by=ut I was happy that I lost the extra do 2 my way, knowing how my body responds 2 food and my training.
My only competition……was me!

So all those who wanna do a show,…don’t let people tell u that u should do a show cuz u workout,….do a show if U and only want 2, not because u think u should or somebody tells u 2.
take time off and listen 2 ur body.
a week or 2 isn’t gonna hurt u…only make u stronger and better.
4 those who wanna keep doing a trillion shows a year…..u aint gonna go anywhere if u dont give ur body ample 2 time 2 rest…..Vanessa Adams told while we were working out…."u need an off season" how canu make improvements if u dont do that?
take heed and try that, know what u want b4 u do it and stick 2 it. If it works 4 u, dont change it because the masses say u should, no book is gonna know ur body, only u!
