The RIGHT Motivation

I’ve always been motivated to bodybuild because of my father (former Mr. Alabama) and for the sole purpose of improving my physique.  I look at myself in the mirror and see where I need to improve in the hopes of becoming the next Mr. Tennessee.  I also look at my father and what he accomplished as a bodybuilder to further fuel my desire.

Recently things have gone in a bad direction…  some of my friends still don’t understand that this is what I want to do.  They give me crap for drinking "your 45 min pre-workout shake," and the "don’t you know you need to take those amino acids…where’s your HGH and steroids man…"  They have been doing this for some time now, but I usually just brush it off.  For some reason, it has really started to bother me now.  It caused me to lose focus and motivation torwards my goals, and in the process I fell behind in training, school, and life.  This past week I’ve made some choices that I wouldn’t usually make….but there is still hope.

They said something last night that really fired me up!  Oddly enough, I don’t remember what they said, but it doesn’t matter.  Now I feel that not only must I prove something to myself, but to all of them as well.  They will see….I PROMISE!!  I also have help now in the form of new friends who share the same mindset as myself.  I would like to thank them for continuing to push me to new limits.  Starting this morning I am back on track.  This year will be different for me.  New oppurtunities will present themselves, but all the while I will achieve my goals.

And I want to let my fellow bodybuilder friends know that….I’m gunning for them!  Thanks again guys and remember….EVERYDAY COUNTS!!

Glad to hear you are back on track man! It is hard to hear crap from your friends, but in the end, if they are real friends they’ll understand. seriously who cares what hobbies your friends have anyway, i could careless if one of my friends had some wierd hobby (not that bodybuilding is wierd) but you know.

well man glad things are going in a better direction for you!

I just got back in the gym after hernia surgery. I had it twice this summer, so i hope to really make up for lost time over the coming year, who knows maybe i’ll see you on stage next year!

    keep training!
