Just inside of 4 weeks till show. Bodyfat down to 4.3%. Midsection really getting tightened up, veins starting to show in Lats and Back. Maintaing carbs at about 150gms/day, mainly in oatmeal/farina with all the leafy greens I can stomach. No dairy and very few complex carbs. Doing 60 minutes of LIT on bike first thing in morning.
My concern lost 2.5lbs of lean body mass, is it muscle, visceral fat or WHAT?
Don’t look any smaller but sure don’t to start to shrink this far out. Is the answer cutting back on Cardio or eat more Protein or both?
Plan to Carb and Water deplete and play with SOdium some.
All suggestions greatly appreciated.

I’m in the final 7 weeks of pre-contest diet. Weight steady at around 215, fat down to 4.5%. Changed my cardio to HIIT x3 week, other days LIT for 45 minutes. In the final weeks does it make sense to drop the creatine and oils I’m taking and if so WHEN! My protein powder has creatine in and I supplement it with chewable times after I work out and add a couple scoops a day to my shakes. Also, I’, taking 3000mg of Flaxseed oil and some other oils as well, when should I drop those? And will dropping them help me get the dry, hard look, I’m after.

Preparing for first show, never dieted down, so main concern is getting all the fat and water off. How does one know if it’s water or fat. Diet has been really clean for 5 weeks and doing about 45 minutes of cardio first thing in morning. Getting about 100 carbs/day, then up to 300/day on every 4/5th day. When does one start the severve carb depletion, how can I determine if it’s fat or water>

10 weeks from show, bodyfat 5.5%, doing 45 minutes of cadio first thing in morning, empty stomach. Weight 217 lbs, doubtful I get to light/heavy weight. When should one start to take diuretics?

Man, that was work. The breathing without heaving in and out, flexing without shaking or cramping. I’ve got a lot of work to do, but some great inspiration from some great people, thanks, Joe, Tammy and Nancy. Having trouble with getting my lats to show, might just need more work. Any suggestions.

11 days in and lost 7lbs. Took a 7fold caliper test bodyfat @ 7.4%, Contest date is 4/17-18. Concerned with losing to much size and strentgh to soon. Really just eliminated junk food and alcohol and increased the cardio. Protein intake high and monitoring carbs closely, intake matched to workout intensity and type. Next update end of the month, goal is 210lbs, 5% bodyfat.
