Has anyone tried this? It was inpired by the traing the guys endured during the making of the movie "300" They offer a monthly class at my gym, and was wondering if it was worth signing up. I am looking to lose some of this Thanksgiving turkey…and yams…sweet potato pie..I know, I know..I was bad this holiday…don’t kick me out of the club!

Nothing is more validating than when your friends start noticing differences in your body. Now my clothes don’t fit, I am more aware of what I eat which can be challenging in a restaurant and I sleep better….

I took a few days off from the gym to relax after the 10k. I have been back and am going to get it cranking again. I am waiting on receiving my race pics to post. Doing lower body today…I hate doing crunches and I really need to tighten up my abs..anyone have any ideas of some fun ab workouts?

Well a whole lot has happen since my last post. I got carjacked in March, went to Hawaii on vacation and realized I could run 3 miles without getting too winded. very interesting experience in Hawaii. I went on a7 day cruise and visted the different islands. I spent two days in Honolulu before boarding the ship. While there I stayed in a hotel and experienced inland American eating habits versus far east. Honolulu has a huge asian popultaion. Most of the tourists gravitated toward eggs, bacon, and pancakes..the asian visitors ate a lot more healthy. Their breakfast meal usually consisted of seaweed, light fish, and steamed vegetables. I tried it and it was good. tried a version of Bircher Muesli as well, and realized I liked it. Everywhere we went served this dish. I am going to try and make it sometime. I have been grilling a alot lately, and bouht a smoker as well. The latest book I am reading is "Eating Clean" by Tosca Reno..it is a pretty simple read, with pretty straight forward info.
