Cutting Diet

December 25, 2007

Merry Christmas.  Today I decided to start my cutting diet.  I read through Layne’s article on contest prep and decided I can do this.  I am at 212 and body fat is somewhere between 13 and 17 % depending on how you measure it.  I need to get down to about 190 while maintaining muscle mass to get my BF % to about 5.  I want to lose about 1.2 Lb per week of fat and I calculated my dalily MR at 3000 Kcal.  I am going to shoot for 2200 to 2400 Kcal a day with 280 - 300 g protein, 150-200 g carbs and 50-70 g fats.  I am going to workout pretty much every day but take days off as needed.  I will do cardio 3 times a week for 30 mins a session and also do abs with cardio.  I am currently taking Lipo 6 and Halo-tren 400 along with Explosive Growth Blend, Isopure Protein Shakes and NO-xplode preworkout.  This is going to be a long cutting period and I expect it will take me at least 4 months.  Wish me luck!

Halo-Tren 400

This is my third day using Halo-Tren 400  I am going to use it for a month and post here my thoughts and progress.  The rest of my supplements, diet and training will stay about the same during this period.  I weighed 209 when I started on Dec 20th and today I weighed 212 and my body fat scale says I am down 1.3% body fat.   This is probably because I recently came off a few days of very low carbs and this weight gain may be glycogen and water retention.  In any event I dont have any adverse side effects — ie no change in mood, libido, acne etc.   My energy levels are about the same — maybe up a little bit.  As far as tangible changes go I did my chest routine today with my last chest routine done 5 days ago.  Last time I was able to flat bench 4 sets of 240 for 4 reps.  Today I did 4 sets of 240 for 5 reps and a 5th set of 240 for 4 reps.  I also felt stronger on the rest of my routine and I had a good energy level.  Without a doubt I am stronger but again at this point I suspect it has more to do with diet than Tren.  Tomorrow is my back routine so that should be interesting so until then "I’ll be back!"

December Training

I hit the gym at 0730 this morning and did a brief 1/2 hour workout since i had to be in the ER at 0830 for my shift today.  The usual gym rats were there.  I did my leg routine today with squats, leg curls, leg extensions and calf raises.  I am trying to go lower on my squats so I stayed at 225 for 10 reps — i could have gone to 275 or even 315 but I want to maintain good form and a decent pump — the other day i saw a guy with small legs doing shitty squats with 4 plates on each side — he barely bent his knees!  I dont want to workout like that — for some its all ego but for me I am looking for results and believe me my legs felt like they were going to explode.  I need to be careful b/c my legs will get huge and out of proportion to the rest of my body — I guess I am lucky there since working legs suck the life out of me.  Some 16 year old girl told my son I have huge legs the other day in the gym — I’ll take the compliments wherever I can get them!  I will post some new pics next week.  For now I need to start saving lives!
