Exercise:

I went for a bike ride today for 30 minutes after waking up.

It was a bit chilly outside but it was refreshing. I listened to City and Colour as I rode through a nearby park located next to the river. As I was riding down a path something caught my eye, I turned to look and to my surprise a deer was standing there - just 7 feet away from me! I stopped for a while to admire it’s beauty, looking around a few times to see if I could spot any fawns but unfortunately there were none. She didn’t seem afraid, but rather curious; her head positioned near her hooves but her dark eyes locked on me. I talked to her for a while, but she got bored of me and slowly walked away to eat some leaves. I rode away feeling extremely happy - I LOVE animals so so much. :)

I got really bad cramps around 5pm and had to take some Ibuprofen and lay down, ended up sleeping for 3 hours but felt much better afterward. I hope I don’t get them again tomorrow..

Food:

Protein slushie
3 egg omelet with green peppers
Bagel with cream cheese, juice
Tomato and banana
Pasta

The beginning..

I have never had a gym membership, followed any sort of strict diet, or have wanted to in any way - until now. I’ve been feeling groggy, tired and lazy for too long. I’ve deprived myself of proper nutrition and exercise, but it stops now. I’m ready to feel energized, healthy and fit. I no longer have the desire to continue stuffing genetically modified, and processed garbage in my mouth. It’s interesting how man can create such harmful, unhealthy products (that are surprisingly accepted by most) from ultimate perfection. We were created to be active and healthy; given knowledge and reason, which separates us from the species around us. I’m ready to do what it takes to feel and be the best I can.

What I need to do:

A. Eat 6 small meals a day
I need to be eating small, nutritous portions of fruits, veggies and carbs and avoid snacking on chips and candy. At least popcorn is healthy.. I couldn’t stand giving that up!

B. Drink more water
According to an article on here I need to be drinking 68 ounces of water every day, or at least 2 glasses with every meal.

C. Exercise!
Since I can’t exactly afford a gym membership in my current situation I will need to run outside and do some exercises in my home. I can’t believe how awesome this site is, it tells you a whole bunch of ways to work abs, calves, even the bum! ;)

D. Get rid of my dry-ass skin
I have a feeling that once I start becoming more active and having a proper diet my body will transform inside and out. Once that is complete my dry dry desert skin will become beautiful, soft, supple babys-bottom skin. :P

E. Drink less
I only drink once every one to two weeks, but I’m trying to get fit so drinking beer probably isn’t the smartest idea right now. I can do without!

F. Go to bed at a decent time
Yes.. that means I can’t be writing blogs at 4:15 in the morning. BAD ALANNA!
