Almost summer!

So it’s a week after the show and I already miss it. I absolutely loved being up on stage and getting ready for it and now that it’s over I’m just kinda bummed. I was thinking about doing Kumite which is in Pittsburgh at the end of May but I need to really focus on finals and finishing off this semester strong-I put my schoolwork on the back burner a little during training. Hey-if you can find genetics and physics more interesting than picking out little skanky outfits to strut your stuff on stage let me know, okay. So yea, that is my only show for this season but I will get back up there in the future. I gave myself a few days off from the gym and dieting but my body was like what the hell are you doing. I like to be healthy and I like to exercise-it gives me energy and it makes me feel good- I mean you all know what I’m talking about! I have had more icecream this week then I think I ever had haha-Creme Brule-Ben and Jerry’s, Half Baked-Ben and Jerry’s ..ha okay that was it but it was DAMNNN GOOOD! Let me know what you think of the pics-I definately want to make a lot of changes for the next time I compete and just for my lifestyle but I lovee your comments so I hope to hear from you all!

5 days!

Hey folks. Less than a week out from my very first competition! I cannot wait. I saw Cathy Savage today and it was absolutely amazing. She said my walk looks "awesome" and my nutritionist said we gotta just slim up the abs and we’ll be good to go. I’ll be going home on Wednesday to relax, get all my outfits together and buy the rest of my accesories. Mostly to relax and watch movies and skip classes and stuff like that tho. HA I’ll be doing model and bikini division so I have two swimsuits, one dress, one themed (GOLFER) and one sportswear. I’m gunna scare my friends so bad with the tan cuz I’m a whitey white girl usuallly. They all are saying how funny I’m gunna look. Hey, I think I’d look good with some color, right?! I met a ton of the girls that are gunna be there. OMG so many of them are perfect!!! I’m like damn. I’m happy though because I am going through with this and actually doing it and not just talking about it and bullshitting around. I’m doing it!! I don’t care if I place dead last cuz I gotta start somewhere and this is where I am. I’m really happy with the changes I’ve made to my physique and I’m even more excited to keep training hard after this to achieve perfection. Alright! Pics will be posted later as one week out! 4 weeks out YEE YEE YEE

SO folks..Saturday March 29 marks 4 weeks out from my first competition. SO excited! My new diet plan started at 6 weeks out and really took me for a turn. Under 250 starches per WEEK. HA. So that means my starches of the week are 1/2 c of oatmeal or half sw potato. Which are my two favs and the best for the body so it works out. I was making a mental list in my head of all the foods I want to eat after the show but I know I’m going to hate feeling all bloated and swollen if I just binge afterwards so I’m going to try to stay clean and have a few cheats here and there..Carrot cake, pizza and tuna w/mayo (weird huh?! but I miss it) and of course some chocolate. But, I have decided to compete in the Miami Fitness Universe pageant at the end of June so I don’t want to put myself in a worse place to start training for that. I have a little surprise coming up too in June.. I am persuading my TWIN sister to compete with me so hopefully we will both be up there together and really throw people for a loop! :) Anyways, energy levels are pretty much decreasing but the excitement that I feel is what is keeping me going. Mind over matter. Give me some encouraging/motivational words :) P.S I’m posting new pics this weekend so keep an eye out

Okay so I’m eleven weeks away and feeling..hmm..nervous.

My first competition ever is April 26, 2008. Yippee, I’m excited that I’m finally doing this and I’m actually surprising myself on how good I am staying with the diet and hitting the gym. I am at a new school and the gym is like a PALACE so it’s easy to spend a few hours or more there. HA! Plus it’s always packed so there’s always people around which really motivates me to keep pushing myself. The other day I put the weights down that I was using and this guy behind me picked them up and starting lifting the same weight that I was. That was probably the best feeling ever to know that all my effort and dedication is PAYING OFF and slowly but surely I have made progress in the weight I am lifting. (I basically had zero muscle on my upper body my whole life because "ballerinas can’t be fat or bulky") It’s really too bad I didn’t lift while I was dancing because I would have had some sculpted arms up on stage. Anyways…so diet wise I’ve been pretty good and I have about another week until I start reevaluate my diet and start to make some changes that will get me on the track for MAX fat loss with MIN muscle loss. Well, obviously, doesn’t everyone want that! HA. So my plan is to post pics every week from here on out because then I have a goal every week to look better than the last. ANd please please comment or give me tips, criticism, really any kind of feedback is much appreciated. I’ll probably throw some more handstands and what not up there for you guys to check out too. Just have to find time between all these physics and genetics exams! Have a wonderful week and happy lifting :)
