need some help!

So in the past 2 months or so I really noticed how much i love weightlifting and bodybuilding and have become hooked! I love seeing the transformation of my body! After i graduated high school i went through some really rough times and gained around 20 lbs…luckily i’ve dropped most of that weight and have a lot more definition again!

I know quite a bit about lifting and weight training luckily but when it comes to diet and supplements I’m def a beginner. So that’s where i need some help. Im looking to reduce my bf% and build a lot of muscle at the same time. I would LOVE to be able to compete by this time next year. So what should my every day diet be like? I have a basic idea when it comes to protein and complex carbs and good fats but kinda need some suggestions on exactly what foods are good and what foods are bad. Also what supplements should i be taking? I do a whey protein shake before and after I work out but i want to see more results?

Thanks a ton in advance! I’ll def take everything you say into consideration!
