So lately it seems that i have been gaining strength almost EVERY week!!!! Its amazing!!! i recently squatted 165lbs for 8 reps and the 2nd sets were with 155lbs for 10!!!!!! My leg presses went up also to 435lbs, prob even more if i counted the weight of the machine!!!! So i’m going on the univ of del’s nutrition program study abroad to hawaii on jan 4th for 1 month! I’m really excited about it, but i’m kinda worried about loosing some strength! Not so much gaining weight because i’m bringing tons of protein powder and creatine. Our agenda is tightly packed almost every day, so i’m hoping i can get over to some local gyms in the area while i’m there! ITS KINDA FREAKING ME OUT! I DONT WANNA LOOSE THIS STRENGTH!!! ANYONE HAVE SOME GOOD TIPS?

I hit 3 sets of 10 reps with 155lbs!!!!!So hopefully that means I can squat some great numbers! Then i even managed to go on to do leg presses. With that I did 2 light warm up up sets th en 3 sets of 10 with 405 lbs!!!!! I did other things after that but those first excercises really pushed me hard!!! SOOO HAPPY. i’ll def be feeling it 2 days from now!!!!!

Today my diet/routine was great! Sundays are the worst, because my damn gym is only open until 4pm!!!!! I had a late start to the day, so i basically had to rush some of my workout. I tried out my gyms other location which was excellent! Does anyone think its strange that my gym does not provide water fountains? You would think thats mandatory….oh well. I had a wonderful upper body workout paired with abs. I did some new ab routines that I felt really good about with the excercise ball. My diet consisted of oatmeal in the morning with flax, syntrax protein, a shake with light vanilla soy milk…dinner was GREAT, I went to Sullivans steak house and had a 5oz. broiled piece of salmon with crab on top(which had no filler), I had a feild greens salad which oil and vinegar and asked them to hold the blue cheese, almonds on top, glass of white wine, about 8 spears of asparagus….finally hot tea!!!yummm…..and so healthy!!! Servers must hate me when I dine…..I substitute EVERYTHING!!!!

So I ended up having to do some aerobic activities which was mostly composed of abs: 3 sets of 20 wth each excercise. regular crunches, bicycle for 1 minute flat, oblique crunches, leg raises, kick ups. Then with my excercise ball some more standard crunches and oblique crunches and jack knifes. Then finished with a 15 moderate speed run on the treadmill. My diet was excellent- usually the same until dinner which i like so switch up….EASTER dinner: salad to start with cucumbers, tom, onion, 1 tbsp parm cheese, 1 tbsp roasted almond toppers, ceaser (light spritzers) by wishbone- which is amazing! Then 14 fresh grilled asparagus spears and 3 spears of broccoli and a 4 oz piece of tilapia marinated in fat free italian herb and 1/4 of a sweet potato. Tommorow I’ll be going ridiculously hard on my legs!!!!

Today was the first day back in the gym in 4 days. Its been rough coming off of a sinus infection. My body is responding better extremely well. It must of needed that time off to repair. I dran an endorush 1/2 hour prior to my routine and went into upper body. I pushed myself harder then i have in awhile. After my upper I finished with a 15 min on the treadmill at a 2.0 incline. My legs were on fire!!!! My dinner was exellent…Enviga-berry(if you haven’t tried it, u need to) with wild salmon, whole grain wild rice and asparagus marinated in kraft free italian and garlic herb pepper!!! Followed by peppermint tea and a shake with light soy milk and fiber teq and digestive flax. Tommorow I should feel amazing! I’ll most likely try to hit the gym before it closes with my lower body….concentrating on squats…Not my favorite!
