Recently..
Hey all, sorry I have not been around recently but I’m back! I have gotten some notes and comments about new progress pictures, etc.. I’ve actually had a lot of medical things going on and been in and out of the doctors… I am writing this to promote preventative exams such as physicals, mammograms, etc… You can see some pictures from my daily life on my website (www.fittracey.com) or facebook/myspace. My doctor felt an abnormal lump in my abdominal region during a physical. After xrays, ultrasounds, and CAT scans, we found a cyst on my left ovary about the size of a grapefruit! I was then referred to UVA Cancer center where more testing was done. It is not cancer and my oncologist/surgeon will be removing it in the beginning of August. I can’t wait to feel better and also to make that big bump go away!
You will start to see more progress pictures after this out! Don’t get me wrong, I am still in the gym working out.. nothin is gonna stop me.
I also went in for a mammogram. This is important because I have a family history of breast cancer. My mom and aunt are both survivors of cancer, I can say proudly. I was shown three masses found in my mammogram.. very small. I will be seeing a specialist for this soon! We are going to talk about preventative measures to make sure this does not become a bigger issue.
So, ladies and gentlemen, be proactive with your health. Working out and diet is key to being healthy and staying healthy. Make sure you keep up to date with your physicals and exams!
Lots of love! Keep up the good work everyone!

Thank you so much for this. I am totallly guilty of NOT taking care of my health. ANd I have NO excuse. I’m glad that you are cancer free, and I’m so proud that you are taking steps toward even better health. Awesome encouragement.

I made the decision this year to start scheduling yearly prostate exams with my doctor. Good Health goes beyond the walls of a gym
