What’s new with me!

Hey peoples!  So, I’m super excited about what has come into my life in the last couple weeks.

First, I was having an interview for some local papers about weight loss with an independent reporter and we began to chat. A group has been established to target the obesity problem of West Virginia children and their families.  I was asked to be contributor to the group.  I  can not be more excited about this.  I want to make a difference.  I want to help young children and young adults make positive choices and work to overcome weight issues.    I may be asking some of you in the fitness field (or anyone interested) in the general area to come in and talk to some kids or take them through an activity.

In early Feb,  I have a meeting with the coordinator of the Kids In Action group   in our community.  Looking forward to how I can support them or work with them.

Lastly, I was just notified yesterday by the editors of FIRST Magazine that I will be featured in an upcoming issue.  They are doing the wardrobe and everything! Super exciting!  Once things fall into place I’ll let you know what issue, etc…

That’s what’s up with me… oh, I also started T’ai Chi- amazing!   What’s up with you??  :)

    Tracy,

Hey, congrats. on everything and yeah i think thats awesome what ur doing with the young people in your area…i’d love to start something up myself back here in Maryland just like what ur doing! I’m involved with many ministries at my church with young children and all but nothing in the health field, at least not yet! But also, wanted to let u know that after some consideration i did chose Salisbury University over Shepherd…just had to weight the factors including out-of-state tuition. I’ll be transferring their in the fall working towards my BA in exercise science, still undecided as far as a specific career…oh and i am planning to earn my PT certification over the summer. But great to catch up on everyting about u and what ur doing with your community, keep up the training.
    Brandon
