Well, Christmas parties and family gathering certainly were great - with the exception of all of the food in my face. Maybe I should have waited to start my change on January 1st….oh well. I did better than most years. I worked out hard (weights and cardio), but did not eat very "clean" for about two or three days in a row. Back to it today. I will not weigh myself until this Wednesday morning….

Okay - probably not going to write in this thing every day, but I do think it helps.
I weighed myself when I got up this morning and just stared at the scale. I got off, reset it, got back on…and repeated this numerous times. I then figured there must be something wrong with the surface the scale was sitting on, so I moved it and repeated the process. I have gone from 225 to 218 in three days. Water weight? I don’t think so - I have drank a gallon of water every day for the past week. The only thing different I have done is eat much cleaner (not totally clean like some of the people on this thing, but pretty damn clean for me). Amazing.

Ah - shopping day! I think I took care of the snacking issue for now - raw almonds, fruit for smoothies, and some of those 100 calorie popcorn packs. I am also going to start drinking a gallon of water every day. That will be my first attempt at squashing the hunger pangs that I usually feed immediately (from the nearest vending machine). This is so different for me.

Okay - I have a meal plan for the month and will continue to lift weights (push, pull, legs, rest, repeat) and do cardio (mostly stepmill HIIT)…here’s my first problem…snacks. I love to snack. What am I supposed to do about snacks? Protein bars? I am excited to finally have a meal plan, but don’t want to be derailed by snacks…
