Final thoughts after completing 10 Weeks on the Keto Diet.

This was definitely not an easy diet. The first week was absolutely brutal, my energy levels were non existent and training, for once, felt like a chore, which is not usually the case because I love it. Second week was a lot better and the third, and thereafter, was just routine. The first few weeks you really tend to count the days until your next carb-up but after 4-5 weeks it’s more like "oh shit it’s already carb-up day?" It really becomes routine and your energy levels are pretty normal so training also becomes easier. All this mumbo-jumbo aside, the results really speak for themselves. I only managed to lose about 5-6 pounds over these 10 weeks but I lost several inches (almost 2 in my waist) and I really tightened up, got a lot more definition overall, even in my upper legs and midsection where it was really lacking the most.

Couple of things I want to also mention before concluding Keto. If you choose to do this diet, make sure you SERIOUSLY use a fibre supplement! I’ll be straight up with you, no toning it down cause I’m a "proper lady." Taking a shit on this diet is a flippin’ mission and a half! No fibre = no poop, and no poop = not a happy camper! Also, if you are female, yes I’ll address that too, this diet seriously ****s with your menstrual cycle so be aware of that. I’m usually very regular, most times I can call it to the day, not on this diet, I would say it was almost completely random! So again, just a word of warning, something to keep in mind, don’t loose too much sleep over it if this happens to you.

All that aside, this is pretty much the only diet I will ever do when I want to cut again. I already know how it works, what foods to buy/make to keep it somewhat interesting. I am really happy with the results I got on it but I need a break and with winter coming this is the perfect time to put on some mass and get cut again for summer, so I think this will be my game plan for the next several months.

Tomorrow I will take some progress pics and post my final measurements and then it’s morphin’ time! :D

hey - now that it’s been a month after you stopped…did you maintain the weight loss?

Would you recommend this to someone who is just starting to diet?

    Thanks :)

Hey! To be honest I haven’t weighed myself since, but from what I can see I haven’t gained much fat, if any. I switched to a high protein diet now, 150g-200g/day, have been lifting fairly heavy so hopefully I’m building a bit more muscle, since that’s the plan for the time being :)
I would only recommend this diet to someone who weigh trains regularly because your workouts go hand in hand with this diet, if you’re mainly doing cardio then I wouldn’t recommend it.
