Week 5 - A Cold Sabotaging my Progress!
So I’m in week 5. Last weekends carb up was the best I’ve had so far. I managed to keep my fat intake pretty low so I really got the most out of it. I never realized how much I love bread tho! Holy smokes I inhaled that shit! It’s kind of weird. When I started this diet I thought that I would crave more junk food and sweets in general when it came time to carb up but I don’t even wanna look at that stuff. After last Friday’s depletion workout I went to a bakery and got a fresh loaf of cranberry & pumpkin whole grain bread and just polished it off over the course of the 30 hour carb up! I didn’t want anything else, probably gonna do the same thing this week, although it’s Thanksgiving weekend so I might have to push my carb up day to Sunday because I have to attend a family dinner, and I don’t feel like explaining to everyone why I’m only stuffing my face with turkey and passing on the other stuff that usually accompany such a meal, plus, it just makes sense.
With that said tho, Sunday evening I started feeling a bit sick and unfortunately Monday morning I woke up feeling like complete shit! I actually have NO appetite, I just eat at intervals of 3 hours cause I know I have to, but I can’t even taste any flavour, which kind of makes meals even easier to prepare because I just eat according to the food labels, but that’s the only positive. I haven’t gone to the gym the past 2 days, which sucks because I was really sticking to a pretty strict workout schedule. Diet wise I’m right on, just the training is really suffering. I hope this doesn’t screw me up too much, considering the "progress high" I was on last week. I think I’m gonna hit the gym tomorrow regardless and just do what I can, I am feeling a tad better today so hopefully I will be even better tomorrow. This sucks, I’m really pissed.
