4th 5K & Rookie Tri
Tuesday, September 8th, 2009So, I’m getting ready for my 4th 5K and it’s been real motivating to know there is a race in the near future to get ready for. I’m broke the dreaded 132 plataue, but will be working on toning and loosing body fat for the next few months.
I’m having a blast learning about cycling and swimming to get ready for a rookie tri. in May ‘10. I thought it would be a nice way to start prior to Danskin! Happy Training!

Tuesday, September 8th, 2009I’m very excited to be doing my first 5K this Sat. Hubby and baby will join (strollers allowed for free)! I can run about 2 miles right now and am hoping to be able to complete all 3 miles with minimal walking.

Danskin Sprint Tri.
Tuesday, August 11th, 2009I’ve decided for my 30th B-day, I will do my first Tri. in June of 2010. I’m excited about the challenge and it will really give me the chance to push my body. First though, I need to re-learn how to swim. I had a scary incident when I was 15 and I have a bit of phobia about water, but I know I can do it with some support and good lessons. So, now that I’ve written it and told people, there is no going back.
Flaxseed galore

Friday, June 12th, 2009Hard to imagine that our son is already one-year-old! We’re busier than ever, but it’s the most wonderful type of busy I’ve ever encountered! The weight loss is slow and steady-I’m fitting into most of my pre-pregnancy wardrobe which makes me very happy. Now it’s on to working on the soft spots that are left over by continuing to vary my work-outs and focus on healthy choices!

Sunday, May 10th, 2009I gained a pound this week-and it’s not muscle-I only did 3 workouts of P90X, then just lost motivation because of work. I just have to get through a few more days, then it should be ok. Having a bit of anxiety about my son starting a new pre-school academy and going back to the field I was trained in, but I know it’ll work out. This is not the time to be neglecting my workouts, so I will keep pressing forward even though my current boss is being aweful-it’s almost over! YAY! Happy Mother’s Day to all the mommies and and pet mommies.
Round 2
Sunday, April 26th, 2009I’m now ready for round 2 of P90X. I attempted to take my son to the Gold’s child area, but he’s not having it, so for the time being, I’m going to make the most out of being at home. He takes long naps in the morning before I have to go to work, so that will be my time to work out.
I finally bought my awsome bikini! It’s so cute-and it’s hanging on a hanger in the bedroom in plain sight for motivation! I will reach my goal by July and hit the beach feeling confident!

Monday, March 23rd, 2009So-I’ve accepted that I’d rather have slow weight loss, than fast weight loss that comes back within a few months! The hare never wins the race anyway. I’ve had a rather strange injury that I’ve been struggling with. TX allergies are nuts and I coughed so much that I think I strained a muscle (near my right rib) or I don’t want to think what else. It’s incredibly painful to cough, laugh, or do any type of core workout. No, I didn’t go to the doctor b/c I don’t want drugs, but I’m slowly getting better and am taking the weights a big lighter & running more. I continue to get positive feedback on my weight loss, so that’s always nice. Yhea! I’m giving myslf until June to get into my bikini.
