Wednesday, September 24th, 2008Following Mamaof2’s suggestion to visit the BFL program-I bought both the journal & recipie book. I really love that it’s a very easy program to follow and it will establish good habits becuase the program is 90 days long. After the 3 months, it’s maintenance or whatever other goals you may have. I did notice that that the recipies can include alot of white flour items, but it’s easy enough to substitute for whole wheat/grain or another veggie.
The program consists of eating 6 small meals with an emphasis on protein-perfect. The weight lifting portion includes pyramid training and I know will yeild results if you challenge yourself. The only part of the program I question is the 20-minute cardio solution. According to the program, you complete no more than 20 min. of cardio (intervals) every other day. I feel this may be too small amount of cardio especially if your goal is a large amount of weight loss (as is my case). I’ve completed almost a week of this program and include approx. 40-50 min. of cardio instead. Regardless, it’s easy to tailor to your lifestyle and I’m glad for the great guidance it provides.
