Worrying
Sunday, February 22nd, 2009Aahhh I’m worried this week. Not sure if I’m gonna make it for April competitions. However, I do remember getting that feeling in my first round of competitions last November. I didn’t think it would be possible to lean down that much but I all happens in the last few weeks.
Meanwhile, I’ve been working really hard. Last week, I was doing 5 sets of everything. It was great but my right hamstring is not happy with me. I pulled my abductor on that leg and I know how it happened. I was doing one-leg hamstring curls. I like to work legs and arms individually because I find I’m much stronger on my right side. Anyway, I started my work-out with 20 mins of HIITs on the eliptical and then I didn’t take the time to do some stretches before beginning my work out. The gym was really busy and the mats where I normally stretch were fully occupied. Tsk Tsk. Not going to make that mistake again! It’s important to stretch. Ughhh It’s too bad because it affected my whole work-out. That was on Wednesday. Today I should be doing glutes, but instead I’m resting.
And worrying! I don’t know if the legs will be ready for April. But I’ll keep at it.
This week, I’m back to 3 sets.
