Back ON Track

Thanks to everyone who helped me yesterday.  It meant alot that you went out of your way to give me some words of wisdom and sympathy….that being said, I am off in another direction now…..I have decided if I meet my 40 goals, I am going to get certified.  I want to start with getting certified and then maybe get a degree in sports management.  I dont think this is something I would full time, but maybe to work with a couple of people a week as part time extra money.  I love being in the gym and I love talking about fitness so I think it would be good to put it to use for other people.  My main question is at 40 am I too old to start this?  I know my gym has a guy who is in his 60s and his a trainer so why cant I?

You’re NEVER too old to start anything.

In college, I had a man in his 70’s in one of my classes who wanted to complete his college degree.

Carolina Herrera started her career when she was 40.

Don’t settle yourself in a rocking chair so early in life.

Forty is the new 30, right? There’s a 50 year old lady trainer at our gym and I’ve watched her work with her trainees. She’s the best trainer there. She really believes in what she’s doing. Someone that’s a "little" older will be able to relate with their clients more than some 22 year old just out of college. Go for it.

Too old my ass, Colonel Sanders was a retired pensioner before his ‘liitle’ KFC venture took off. With pure hard work and dedication we can achieve our dreams , age is no barrier. Just think if the colonel had taken his social security check and thought ‘ I can manage on this’ , I’d never of experienced a zinger tower meal or hot rod box…..ok I’m just nipping out for a bite to eat see ya…..lol

    Too old? Hell no!

The only thing you are too old for is the kids menu at Denny’s.

If you want it, take it.

you’re never too old, your age is the only thing that changes each year, might as well change your knowledge too, or at least that’s how I feel about it.
