			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>here I am again..writing about being injured..I severly pulled a muscle in my back a couple of weeks ago that cost me a couple of days of work, and two more weeks of lifting.  this year has been awful for me, but hopefully today was the start of my comeback.  I have been away from this site because I was very upset about not being able to lift or do anything, and it would have just added to my depression/frustration..but I am coming back&#8230;baby steps again..I have suffered through some comments about loss of size that will jsut add to my motivation&#8230;I will be back..</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>sometime around the second week of April, I went to the doctor because I was having the severe neck/shoulder pain again that sidelined me for a couple of weeks early on this year.  turns out he diagnosed me with cervical degenerative joint disease (DJD) saying that my neck was pretty worn down for being almost 30..he kept saying how abnormal and shocking my X-Rays were for never having played a contact sport or not having been in a serious accident or anything.  He also said I have a paracervical strain down my spine which is causing all of my shoulder pain because is pulling over.  so on top of that I was sick for about a good 10 days straight, and I couldn&#8217;t start my Physical therapy until this past Tuesday.  so I go down and my therapist tells me that my pelvis is outta whack, and my back is pretty screwed up too from what he can tell from stretching me out.  so I go twice a week for a month and if I feel no better, back to the doc for an MRI and whatever else&#8230;.yeah, it sucks&#8230;

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>since i have written anything at all.  I have just recovered from a pretty bad neck/shoulder injury that prohibited me from lifting for almost 3 weeks.  I mean, not one curl, crunch, anything&#8230;my neck was so bad that it made driving to work a chore, because it was so hard to turn my head to look for oncoming traffic.  I couldn&#8217;t lift anything at work, imagine peoples surprise when I had to ask fro a team lift on some furniture items..everyone was like wow..you are hurt!  I felt worse and worse about myself each day that went by that I couldn&#8217;t lift.  hell, I even let my facial hair and arm hair grow the entire time, so now I look quite sasquatchy..I had my first workout yesterday, and it felt incredible.  The strain, the pump, the rush&#8230;.It was almost like the North Star to a lost sailor..finding the way home&#8230;ok..maybe not that dramatic, but it felt really freaking good&#8230;</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Working in retail, now is the time of year to step back and take a much needed breather.  Granted, we are getting hit with TONS of returns which creates more work for Guest Services and us Sales Floor folk, but all in all, it is nice to be done with Christmas.  I worked less overtime this year than the previous 4, but all of the overtime came in like a 2 1/2 week burst this year, with a couple overnight shifts, and one pretty wicked overnight 15 hour shift.  Due to how damn tired I was all the time, I had to switch up my workouts, and it is something that I am probably going to carry over into the new year.  I am only going once every 2-3 days to fully give my body a chance to recover and grow, and I think it really paid off for me.  Once my workload slows down a bit, I will be able to really chart out where I want to be.  Happy New Year to everyone, please be safe and responsible if you are going out anywhere tomorrow!!</p>
