New Goals

Sunday, March 8th, 2009

Since I began my weight training journey in Feb 08 I have had my ups and downs, injuries, gains, moments of pride and failure.

What I have learned most:  I work very hard and I need to give myself more credit for it.

I find myself continually beating myself up for skipping a work out of gaining a few pounds to the point where I am completely disgusted with myself.   Don’t get me wrong, I want to improve and meet fitness goals always.  I have learned, however, that I can’t do this if I am beating down my own biggest supporter—myself.

We are all human and do not live perfect lives.  I really want to be able to enjoy my progress while building confidence that I need to keep going—despite my set backs.

And the journey begins…

Sunday, February 17th, 2008

I have a few goal for the up comming year:

*  eat at least 6 times per day *the right foods–no empties)

*  run at least 4 times per week

*  define and sculpt legs:  goal to be detemined–I just had to throw it in there since my upper body has always been above-average.

*  increase the time I spend praying and meditating

I have a few goals today:

*  Go to work for a couple of hours

*  Work bi’s and abs

* DO CARDIO (and stretching!)

* include prayer and meditation in cool-down

The last one has been difficult for me lately as I have not run in 6 days (usually running 4 times per week minimum).

I got up early this morning so I have my extra ‘me-time.’  I have been procrastinating a lot lately.  I really want to get more organized.  Wish me luck!
