Need some dancing

This week is already feeling long with work, school, and keeping up with my workouts and diet plan.  I really wanna go dancing or clubbing this weekend.  if anyone knows some good places that are in the inland empire area or within an hour of it, lemme know!  besides, i’m feeling skinny enough right now to wear my new LBD :)

also, i’m always up for going out with new people, what’s the fun in staying in your own bubble all the time?

rice, kimchi, and seaweed… i think i would have died today without it.  i’m only 1/4 korean, but that side needs to be tamed with food on certain occasions.  its so damn good!

seriously, i have a two bed apartment and need a roommate! anyone live in the loma linda area and need a place to live? 

 on another note i just got back from HI visiting my bro and his new baby girl.  i feel so sluggish since i only got to workout 3 times in the two weeks i was there.  I am very much considering moving there if the dieticians get paid well starting out.

a little bit about my last few months of training and everything else.  I finally had the balls to get out of a three year relationship in May, kinda bit me in the ass cause the guy indirectly made me drop all of my friends, hence i became dependent on his company and all kinds of other BS.  Plus i lost my spotter/workout buddy in the process, so my leg day is majorly suffering.  Having that gone gave me a good boost to my training and i have honestly never felt better being independent and self-driving in keeping my body the way i want to without somebody getting all whiney on me cause i wanna stick to my diet schedule instead of cheating sporadically on thai food and shii..

Someone that i would consider my best friend right now is visiting (finally!).  She has been one of the biggest blessings by being a great listener and also not caring that i have become slightly more vulgar since the break-up (maybe i was repressed? lol)  And she has managed to introduce me to a great many people that i feel safe saying are valuable, slow to judge, and good at heart.  Not to mention supportive of my chicken+rice diet :D

As of this week i have just gotten hired at Bally’s as a personal trainer, yeah ya!  My friends have gotten me to go clubbing a few times since i never had the chance to in the past, it was fun, but not really something i want to make a habit.  I do like to dance though :D  

Now i am happy to have my training to keep my mind off things, my sweet doggy to get my ass up in the morning for his walk, and awesome friends that are here to support me even if they think my diet is disgusting and i have bigger muscles than them.

flex bikini contest!!!

hey guys, well, it has been a while since i’ve updated on here.  I am now being consistent with my training so that i can participate in the flex magazine bikini contest at the Olympia expo this year.  Most of my workouts are still 1-2 muscle groups per workout, all supersets.  Cardio is boosted up to 45 minutes fasted in the mornings with interval sprinting for half of it, and the rest on a stairstepper.  Diet is cycled, my low carb days are at 60g, middle is about 105, and high is 150.  i wasn’t seeing much progress with last weeks diet which was a bit higher, so we’ll see how i feel after this week. 

I am soon going to be teaching a bootcamp class at my gym, and hence have had to take the class several times to know the ropes, pain in my ass!  but its fun too.  I have since become a bit low on cash thanks to some ends getting tied up, but i am trying to keep it all positive and squeezing every penny!  and if it works i am trying to be one of the monthly contestants on flexonline to see if can at least qualify for the contest rather than have to pay another $75 just to enter :(

why be a dick?

if someone has a blog or bodyspace where it is obvious that they value the muscle they have, why would you be a dick and tell them that you can’t see their muscle?  why?  it confuses me quite a bit to have ANYONE say that to anyone on this whole community, its just rude.

 if you think that i have no muscle, fine.  if you think you have more muscle than me, fine.  But don’t TELL me that i have NO muscle at all making my efforts seem useless and wasted, its like a slap in the face.  especially when you have never met me in person nor have seen a recent snapshot.  i’m done ranting now.

well, today was the first day in a LONG time that i attempted to do intervals between jogging and running.  It was hard getting up early knowing that i’d have to wear two jackets to jog to the gym this AM, but it was nothing compared to how shot my lungs are.  The air in the cardio room was still chilly so it stung even more.  Lets’ just say i made it 10 of 20 minutes i intended on doing, and then finished up with about 20 minutes of moderate intensity on a stairstepper.  The intervals on the treadmill were switching off between 5.7mph and 9mph. 

 also i think today is the fist in a while that my ass isn’t hurting from last week, good, but that just means its time for leg day!

fit expo and a new goal

this weekend was pretty fun for how broke i am.  A friend of a friend got me and two other people in for free at the Fit Expo today, and we got a bunch of free stuff so imagine my excitement.  I am a little disappointed that this year’s expo seemed a little smaller than last year, maybe the economy?  or maybe the companys are saving for their booths at the Arnold?  either way i miss those small bitesize supreme bars and oh yeah bars.  I swear i probably went by the little table with samples about 10 times throughout the day, and i think they knew it too.

 well, after making my rounds several times to get multiple free samples, i began talking to some of the company representatives at Champion Nutrition and Egg Whites International, and have now decided on my next goal for the time being: spokesmodeling.  I like having a goal set that keeps me in shape but doesn’t demand more attention than school (cause i’m paying a freaking fortune for school + loans).  Some of the companies of course have skimpy outfits for the girls to wear, but then some have just a tank top or something with the name on it, so it wouldn’t be terribly demanding of me being in contest shape to be a representative.  Although i would still like the extra push for staying in better shape. 

so for the next time being i will be indefinately changing my diet up a little, taking the carbs down a bit and finishing some of my workouts with some circuits.  And about 3-4 days a week i will start doing my morning cardio again, gotta make sure my knees adjust well since they are always the first to go, which also means i need to up my intake of EFA’s again (really does help a lot!).  Tomorrow begins day 1, yay!  actually looking forward to cardio since my class doesn’t begin til 4pm, so i get to wake up whenever i want :D
