Ok..so not doing so well on keeping up here, but I am so incredibly busy! I am going to hire an assistant, so then hopefully that will free up some of my time to get stuff done!
So..I took 5 days off from workouts and then another 5 days of light workouts and now I’m back to work.
I am now doing the workouts from the NROL For Women. I started them last week and they are working me pretty good. The only thing that I am worried about is the heavy lower body lifting. I would LOVE to go heavy for my lower body, but my back won’t allow it. I was seeing some serious results before taking the time off, so I am so ready to kick ass and get some more great results. I am not sure if it was the workouts or the Hot Rox or both, so will be interesting to see.
I have really cut down on my carbs and think that might be a good thing. On my time off, I ate MANY carbs..lol…and could see where it all went..my thighs and butt. :0( But at least I know that now and I am working in those starchy carbs around my workouts or just in the mornings after hard workouts.
Pictures are in April, so I still have a little over 2 months to look amazing…and I’m so ready to do it! After that, its time to get pregnant, so have to look good just in case I am unable to have this body after a baby! lol

This morning, before training, I saw we had some Nerds candy that had been in a lunchable that my husband had eaten. I decided to take a handful..thinking the sugar would help with my workouts. Boy! I sure felt a difference and for a person who never eats sugar, just that little bit had the same affect on me as a cup of caffeine! Plus, I didn’t get the after workouts ’slump’ that I usually get, even on the way home from my workouts. So Nerds…might have to invest in some more! LOL. Unless anyone has any other ideas, I’m definitely up for it! I loved the way I felt today….so nice to come home after a workout and not want to crawl back into bed!
Training is going great, eats are going pretty good too. I have been taking the Hot Rox Extreme, only 1, 2x per day. I think I’m finally starting to feel the benefits. Not only does it give me some good energy, my body just feels harder….! YEA!
Hoping to find the time to take some measurements and body fat this weekend. Been a while, but I wasn’t seeing any changes, it was frustrating taking them.

Ok..so I NEED to make this a priority…the bloggin! If only there were like 4 more hours in a day I would be fine! Ok..so I need to take pictures for my website and I have give myself 2 months to make some MAJOR changes in my body. I ordered some Hot Rox Extreme and plan to take them for the next 2 months, I have BCAAS, glutamine, creatine and whey. I just started a 4 day workout routine, so far pretty rough. My upper body has continuous DOMS, but its all good. I plan to do bodyweight cardio after my strength for 10 minutes and on off days, 20-30 min of cardio, either elliptical or treadmill.
Now for the nutrition part…ugh! Thats where I struggle..not so much that I don’t eat healthy, just finding what is going to work for my body. So I am going to try and conjure up some calorie and carb cycling routine. I have been trying to find some guidelines, and plan to put together some meal plans this weekend.
Here are my ‘resolutions’ I guess you could say:
1. Post on bb.com every day!!
2. Get in all workouts everyweek (no problem, cuz I LOVE working out-best part of my day)
3. Write up some affirmations and post in bathroom to read every morning to keep my goals in check
4. Get this nutrition thing DOWN !
5. Try to schedule my weeks, making time for ME….I need some recovery time from LIFE!

So this week was pretty good one. I got in all workouts: 3 strength training with some bodyweight circuits and couple days of intervals. My body is SORE from thursdays workout. I don’t normally work my abs, and I did decline knees ups 3×15 and WOW..couldn’t hardly get out of bed! But I love it ( my husband doensn’t….listening to me moan and groan every time I move! LOL)
I started creatine this week, only using it before and after workouts, about 2 heaping tsp each day then. Took measurements and me no likey…hope its the creatine..lol. Also weight went up couple pounds! And here I thought I was losing! Anyhow..I want to stay on the the creatine a couple more weeks and see what happens.
I think I am going to lower the weight when it comes to my lower body. Its growing too fast, compared to my lower body. So I am going to focus on form and s-l-o-w-e-r reps than weight. So when I am doing 8 reps, I will do a 4 count up and down. I hope that will help keep the muscle, but not build and that along with intervals, maybe help to slim it down a bit. Guess we will see…
Last weeks meals about 80% clean, so this week has to be about 90%. I KNOW I can do it..I just HAVE to!

I have been struggling with my diet for so long I feel so lost. I have done Keto for week and lost a lil BF, but not much, tried doing low carb and was really struggling with energy levels and now added more carbs in morning meals and its making me crave carbs like I haven’t in years!
This is so darn frustrating. I wish I had the money to see a nutritionist and find out what they think. I don’t seem to be able to figure it out on my own.
My friend suggested maybe trying a carb blocker, but not sure I want to use that either.
This week my meal are planned out to look like this:
protein shake w/ water
*workout
protein shake w/ soy milk
oatmeal muffin
homeade chix and veg soup
yogurt and protein powder
turkey and green veggies
* I just decided to add the oatmeal muffin and see how that goes… but only going to do that on weight training days..otherwise will do eggs and veggies.
Today I did BW intervals. Did burpees, jump squats and side jumps. Was tough….but fun!
Tomorrow is upper body and deadlift.

Cardio is seriously messing me UP! GRRRR!! For cardio my choices are treadmill, elliptical, bodyweight circuits or kickboxing videos. If I try to increase my speed on the treadmill, my hip/back goes out, same goes for elliptical. Kickboxing videos obviously aren’t all that great for my back due to the kicking, so that leaves me with BW circuits. I don’t seem to have any problems with lifting weights, so I would think the circuits are my best bet, but I just don’t feel like I am getting the same effect with them as I do running intervals on the treadmill.
Anyways…so I was just wondering if I lifted weights 4-5x per week instead of cardio, if I could get the same results? Hm….something to think about and I guess maybe even give a try. If I did do the weights that many times, I would obviously do 3 heavy days and then the others light days.
No workout today, as my back and hip are hurting, plus I had a client this morning, so didn’t really have time. Amazing how tired I am when I don’t workout in the morning…even more incentive to keep working out!
Yesterday had high carb day, and today is low carb and cals….

So this mornings workout was good. Mostly lower body with some back and biceps. Felt good and was definitely ‘done’ when I was done!
I am so tired of this back/hip problem that I have. I have been going to chiro regularly for this and I do so good for couple months, then all goes to hell. So frustrating! It doesn’t hinder my workouts and actually working out makes it feel better, its just AFTER the workout is when the pain starts in. I take ibuprofen for the pain and try to ice it when I can. Think I might just need another visit to the chiro just to make sure all is ok.
I have been eating more starchy carbs after my workouts and in the earlier meals and this has really helped with my energy level, so guess I need to keep that up. I haven’t been entering my meals into sparks, just planning them out on paper. Seems to be going pretty well so far.

So I’m done with the pity party….done using excuses for why I’m not making any changes…its time to suck it up and GET THE HECK TO WORK!!
This weeks workouts..Monday, some BW cardio, Tuesday, intense upper body workout and elliptical cardio, Wednesday, some Turbo Jam for cardio. I absolutely hate cardio, but am going to add it regardless. Seems like Im losing some muscle size in my upper body, so time to hit the heavy weights. My goal is really to build up my upper body to even my body out. Lower body is bigger, which is nothing I can do about that…but still needs some toning work and tightening.
Ok..so set a goal…for Christmas…I would like to gain .5 inch on my biceps…doable? I’m not sure, but can sure try! I would like to lose inch on my hips/thighs. What do these goals mean? Stepping it up in the damn nutrition department…no more "just one little bite". I need to get serious…!!

Ok..so not sure if I deprived my body of carbs too much or what, but this week has been horrible! I eat anything I see and don’t even care! I have meals planned out..but just don’t feel like eating what I have planned, so change it and then it all goes to hell from there!
My husband and I have been talking about trying to get pregnant, so I think maybe that has changed the way I have been looking at my meals and workouts. With trying to get pregnant, I don’t think it would be a good idea to lose any more body fat…being 35 is already a disadvantage, I don’t need more things against me.
So looking at my goal now then…not even really sure. I still want to tone up. Mostly lower body..have that extra fat still lingering around my butt and thighs, so I want to get rid of that..but not even sure its possible without losing body fat.
So I guess I am just a mess right now…gonna keep trudging away with the weight and hopefully get my meals back on track and see how things go….

Friday I could hardly get out of bed, so that was my day off! My lower body is hurting….a good hurting, but SHIT! My clients probably think I have a stick up my ass cuz I can hardly move! LOL! So guess my lower body workout was a good one. Yesterday was some free meals also…not a good thing when my husband is home, hes bad influence! Oh well, back on track today!
This morning did intervals on the treadmill for 15 minutes. Not very long, but I had to get to work. Off to stretch so I can workout tomorrow!
