Feeling great!

Well just wanted to give an update on my progress. I have been working out 5 days a week, cycling my carbs and doing cardio 4-5 times per week and it has been doing wonders. I do admit that I feel exhausted some days but then I know the next day will be a higher carb day and I will feel better so that’s what gets me through. I originally had planned to compete in May but I think it would be better to just wait until November. If I keep up like I am I should be ready. Also wanted to tell everyone thank you so much for the words of encouragement! It has helped me immensely.

The Good Old Bar

So I just got home from the bar. Boy things are sooo different now that I don’t go there anymore. The girls seem so much more out of shape and shallow plus everyone is wasted. I can’t believe I used to be one of THEM. So I only had one glass of wine and it got me a bit buzzed! At this point in my life I feel like the last thing I want to do is go out to a meat market. Does any of this make sense? I guess I am just trying to say that exercising and dieting has changed my outlook a ton and I feel a lot better about myself and don’t need to get attention from stupid guys at the bar to have self confidence.

Well it has been 2 weeks since I had a cheat meal. Carb cycling has been great but today was leg day and I was absolutely EXHAUSTED! Today my carbs started to go up but I have worked out Monday through Thursday and my body has said ENOUGH!! I was such a biotch to my poor hubby tonight simply because I was super weak from lower carbs plus lower carbs changes my mood (involuntarily). I am going to change my diet to where I have my higher carb day when I do legs. Legs take everything out of me. The good news is that I have lost about 5 lbs. in the last 2 weeks. The bad news is that I am seeing more definition but I am looking a little skinnier in my arms and I don’t like that. I guess it will just take time to build bigger muscle but I am impatient. :( Well I at least get to have a fantastic cheat meal on Sunday. Ham, cheesy potatoes, biscuits and dessert…mmmmmm. Only one meal though. I am thinking it will help me feel better physically and mentally. Well I hope everyone has a fantastic Easter with your families!!!
