kEtO + LeGs = me going home
Tuesday, December 25th, 2007OK I almost walked out on my trainer yesterday during our leg training day. I know I had more energy when I was eating chocolate animal crackers daily. I worked my way through leg ext with two drop sets. I felt my blood pulling closer to my temples as I hit the last ten reps. I killed the hip sled. I need to learn how to look like I am in pain. He put more weight on because I amke it look so easy. But walking lunges (my favorite) quickly turned into a bad dream of being chased by zombies in the Thriller video. He plased two 30lbs DB in my hands and said walk without pausing in the middle. I promise the floor kept moving further away as if I was the short lady in Poltergiest. I huffed and puffed my way through four sets. I can not recall how many steps, all I kept hearing was,"You are almost there, one more. We ended with hamstrings, not too bad considering they are in good condition. I did four sets of shoulder presses before cardio.
The workout itself was rewarding, but I can tell the difference in my performance due to lack of carbs. It is not a bad thing. Before when my strength came strictly from the poor diet I was trying to correct, liftng was easy. I never flet as if I was accomplishing anything. Now as I push, extend, pull or twist, I see lines like you would not believe. I have to stop looking in the mirror in order to fcus properly.
I don’t party, but I am going to First Friday’s to show my Ketosis creations, literaly.
