I had my weekly training session this morning – was really happy with the upper body part of the workout because she worked me hard with dips, bench press, dumbbell flys, over head press, shoulder raises, and bicep curls. My arms were shaking, and it was hard for me to even brush my hair later! BUT… then for lower body she wanted me to do unweighted donkey kicks, hydrants, ballet kicks, etc. WTF??? After the first set, I opted out and did walking lunges to the step up machine, did a set of weighted step ups, and walking lunges back, then appeased her with ball squats against the wall and plie squats, She really thought she was doing me a favor because I have bad knees, but in my opinion, if I can do step ups and lunges, I’m good. IMO, those silly unweighted aerobics moves are for the squishy cardio queens. She is so hit or miss – some weeks are great and others are not. Of course, I’m a bitch and will do whatever I want regardless as to what she tells me. ESPECIALLY when she is going easy on me. I could slack off the whole workout if I wanted, so why am I paying a trainer to motivate me??

Well, I certainly haven’t been slacking off that much – more just slacking off in the whole internet life/blog/updating! I have not been super strict with the diet my any means, but I haven’t really gained much either. Staying right about the same. Just not happy with the same, but I can only blame myself!
One of my latest motivation jump starts – seeing Danzig and Gorgeous Frankenstein last Thursday night. My god. I had no idea Doyle was still so freaking hot. Don’t tell my husband! Hahahahahaha! No really, the man is about 43 years old, and has a bunch of fat free muscle. MUCHO respect. There is no way he maintains that body if he is eating crap, doing drugs and/or drinking. Straight edge baby! Plus, there is just something about that body topped with some skull makeup and a devilock. Yum. I guess I’m a little weird like that. Wanna see a pic? http://www.gorgeousfrankenstein.com/graphics/doyglen.jpg That’s him on the right. Drool.
Anyway, I feel the need to step it up. Been doing about 60 minutes of cardio three-four times a week, as well as doing two full body weight training sessions. I’ll keep that up for a while, but I am in the market for a new trainer – preferably a woman who does figure/fitness/bodybuilding. I have a contract with LA Fitness, so if I could find one through them, that would be best.

I have been very absent from the gym and here, but I am back on track! It started with my Boudoir pics - kinda let loose on the eating and working out after they were done. I guess getting nekkid in front of a camera is serious motivation, and having it be done with is serious DEmotivation! Then work got REALLY busy, I went on vacation, and now am starting to repair the minor damage. Dress still doesn’t fit, and it’s here, so holy crap, I better get my butt in gear! I am almost back to where I was at Boudoir time, so not too terribly bad, but now it’s crunch time!

What an amazing experience! DEFINITELY doing this again when I reach my goal weight/body fat%. My photographer was amazing, really funny, really creative, I felt totally at ease (once I got there :p ) and I can’t wait to see the pics. She might have a few teasers posted on her blog next week, but otherwise, we are looking at about 3 weeks, so around June 27 I should get them! I am very happy and very excited. So glad I did this, can’t wait to do it again!!!!!!!!

I have allergies! Never really had hay fever until this year, and realized that there was no way I would be coming down with a cold for 10 days. 10 days later I should be getting over it, not still coming down with it! Felt like crap Saturday and yesterday, so I took a Claritin before bed - woke up feeling fine today! Hmmmm… I think I’ve got it! It sucks though, because allergy medication is expensive - wonder how long I will have to take it for? Anyway, made it to the gym today and worked my @ss off!

Going up to LA tonight to help pack my Fiancé’s grandmother – second weekend in a row. She’s moving this weekend, so whatever isn’t going with her or with us, is going in the TRASH. The house is getting CLEANED OUT! I’m just happy we don’t have another weekend of this….

That’s what I feel like - I just haven’t been myself lately. I really think it started Thursday because I started Cytolean and Purple Wraath that morning and just felt TIRED. I thought "That’s not right" and realized as the day went on I must be fighting something. Well, I’m still fighting it. I’m taking my Vitamin C and my Zinc, drinking my tea and water, and eating my soup. Hopefully I’ll be able to fight it off soon and not let it go full blown. I just want to feel like myself again. And have the energy and stamina to be back at the gym!!! I have a facial tonight - maybe the stress reducing part of that will get me back in shape!

First of all, I want to say THANKS to BB.com because they have amazingly fast shipping - so worth it! I had no idea my stuff would come so fast, and if the price wasn’t so considerably better on bb.com, I *might* have gone to the Vitamin Shoppe just to get it faster. Now I know that it would onlyhave been a day or two faster!!!!!!! Anyway, I ordered Controlled Labs Purple Wraath, Gaspari’s Cytolean, and BSN Cheaters on Monday, and it arrived on Wednesday. How’s that for service?
So, today was day one with Purple Wraath and Cytolean. I took 2 Cytolean (to hell with recommendations! LOL) and not a full scoop of Purple Wraath, but more than the recommended 1/2 for a first time use. I took the Cytolean about a 1/2 hour before my morning workout, and sipped the PW before, during and after my workout. The taste - it’s just okay. I can drink it, but it isn’t pleasant by any means! No tingles or anything. Overall, my workout was good, but I am really tired. I don’t know if it’s because it’s the only heavy workout I did all week, or what, but I can’t say I was really energized or anything. I actually feel a little sleepy right now. I did improve on almost all my lifts I did today.
After a 5 minute warmup:
Squats 45×16, 55×15, 65×12
Deadlift 50×15, 60×10, 60×7
Bench Press 50×15, 55×9, 60×6
Barbell Row 50×8, 50×10, 60×6
Food:
9:00 am (PWO) 1 scoop Lean Dessert, 5 g creatine, 1 small banana
11:30 am 1/2 cup oatmeal with spenda, 1/2 cup NF cottage cheese
1:30 pm 2 cups taboule salad, 4 egg whites, 1 cup edamame
4:00 pm 1/2 cup nf cottage cheese, apple, 2 cups homemade vegetable soup
7:00 pm 2 cups homemade vegetable soup, 1 chicken breast

My knees are killing me. On Sunday, some idiot set their suitcase down right behind me, and I tripped over it, wrenching my knee. I stayed off of it mostly on Sunday, and it felt pretty good yesterday, and then I spent an unplanned 5 hours on my feet, in heels, at the end of a 13 hour workday. Needless to say, my knees are killing me today. I am going to take today off from the gym, and ice them down tonight, and hopefully feel better tomorrow. I will probably do some ab work this evening, and maybe some upper body at home (pushups, db overhead press, etc.) cuz I’m tired after my 13 hour workday yesterday, and working all weekend!
Food today:
9:30 am 1/2 cup dry Oatmeal, 1/2 cup nf cottage cheese
12:30 pm 4 oz grilled chicken breast in a WW tortilla with 1/4 avocado, lettuce, tomato and mustard, served with 2 cups steamed broccoli
3:00 pm 1/2 cup nf cottage cheese, apple, 2 brazil nuts
5:30 pm 2 cups homeade low sodium vegetable soup, 3 egg whites, 1 whole egg
8:00 pm 4 oz. Grilled chicken breast, green salad with balsamic dijon vinaigrette made with 1 Tsp. olive oil
10:00 pm 1 T. Peanut butter, 1 low carb tortilla
OH - one exciting thing - finally placed my order for Purple Wrath and Cytolean, and it arrives on THURSDAY! Just in time for the memorial day weeeknd - YAY!
