4 Weeks Out
This is the toughest part coming up for me. It’s not so much the diet or cardio changes, but the way I look as I get leaner. Today I woke up and went to brush my teeth…got a look at my face in the mirror and YIKES, I scared myself! I look about 10 years older than I did 10lbs ago. My short term goal has changed as of today. As of today, I am going to take better care of myself…I will not walk around in workout clothes constantly…I will wear makeup….I will not wear a ponytail and baseball cap… all day….every day. My goal is to be the OLD me and wear a nice dress everyday to greet my husband home from work. I seriously look like a trainwreck!
But on a bright note…contest prep has been easier than last time, so far anyways :)

I love the baseball cap and ponytail look! Keep up the good work.

I highly doubt that you could ever resemble a train wreck (small commuter fender bender maybe…lol). Nothing wrong with a little makeover every now and then. We all get a little set in our ways and experience a wake up call. Mine happened on thursday when my 4yr old told me she didn’t like my whiskers….translation…."its time for a hair cut and shave big man" Better from the innocent mouth of a toddler than from the mouth of the misses….words might cut a little deeper.

I swear that is some of where I got motivation to change. My kids would come up and grab my belly and say.. "your fat dad." I knew they weren’t being mean because kids don’t think that way most of the time, but the point got made and I knew I needed to make a change.
Good luck on the changes. I am sure you look great in casual look as well, but the change up really might spark something with your husband.

I totally hear ya on this one! I am about 4 weeks out or so and find I am in workout clothes constantly! I mean it is so much easier to just stay in the clothes especially if I have to do Cardio later on. I have crazy curly hair and tend to just throw a baseball cap on and tie it back..zero effort involved. The other day I caught a glimpse of myself and thought YIKES! I did not think I looked terrible (just like u in no way resemble a train wreck) but I looked like I did not care about appearance anymore..Just kind of realized I missed the whole make up, hair and dress thing.
