So here he is again…8 years old and anxious to be a bodybuilder. On vacation I asked him to smile for me while I take his pic. He busts out these poses…I ask him about the back one. He says…"saw Layne do this at your show Mom".

He’s already got the personality for it.
Beach looks like it didn’t suck either.

He sure does have the personality. Today I was on the elliptical, he asks me while I am pedalling…. "how many calories did you burn so far?" I answer.."230"…he says "that’s weak Mom, I burned 250 last time I was on." What a scorch! It didn’t matter that I wasn’t finished yet…of course!

Every day he gets a little more interested. Tonight’s dinner topic was protein/carbs and fat with him. He wanted to know why I eat certain things all the time. He also figured out on his own that eating less carbs and doing cardio would make me lose fat. He said "oh I get it…that’s how your muscles will show on stage." Then he looks at my thighs and says "um, Mom….you’re legs are chubby!"

I’ve got two boys headed your way. They have yet to grasp what I’m doing and other than mild curiosity about why I try to purposely ‘hurt’ myself, they are uninterested.
Maybe a week at Camp Amy would straighten them out.
When he wins his first show, he better thank mom.

That’s a great idea…I wonder if I could do a youth camp

I just found the pic of Layne and his wife Isabel. This is what my son saw

Classic.
He’s just got to work on hooking his thumbs and he’s golden.
I don’t wonder if you could do a camp, I wonder if you could find enough kids that aren’t interested in working only thier thumbs video game style.
You never know.

The good thing is I live in a very "sports extreme" area for the kids. I bet I could find the kids….interesting…..
