I Wish I Was an Ectomorph

I wish I was an ectomorph. All my research I have done the past few years reading books and on this site makes me dream of what I might look like as such. I would eat LOTS of carbs, build muscle busting my butt in the gym everyday and have a tight skin wrap to start with…..I’d have killer abs and I would be able to easily drop body fat through no rest circuit training. Sounds ideal to me…..I am just jealous! LOL!!

what an insult to thousands of people on this site, ectomorphs don’t have tight skin wrap they have thinner than average skeletal structure and have difficulty gaining muscle mass no matter how much they ‘ bust their asses’ in the gym, eating too many carbs will have the same effect on all body types and dropping body fat doesn’t get any easier if your ectomorphic, look at yourself in the mirror, if you were ectomorphic you’d look just as ripped but narrow shouldered and your muscle bellys would not be as full , they’d be more drawn out.
Wish you were an ectomorph…if that came true you’d regret it I assure you.

    Damn, dude. Lighten up!!

Ummm yeah bro, be easy. She said she was envious of Ecto’s. I saw nothing insulting in her statement.

Shan….Whats up…let me know how the legs feel in the morning…lol

My hubby is an ecto… I tell him all the time that I wish I could drop weight as easily as he can. All he has to do is think about cardio and he drops a few pounds. I run my ass off and the scale barely budges. :-)

"BarneyBubble", her comment is no different than me saying I would love to have thick, curly hair instead of fine, pin straight hair… or me saying I would love to be bigger chested, instead of small chested… or me saying I would love to be 5′10" instead of 5′4". My friends who have curly hair that I envy want straight hair. My friends that are big chested would gladly give me some of their extra because they have neck/back pain all the time. And my super tall friends would love to be short and not have to worry about towering over men if they wear heels. There was nothing bad in her comment at all.

Mr BarneyBubble…..none of what I wrote was meant to insult anyone. It was quite the opposite and not meant to direct you what to do in your training…..just stating what I would do :)

maybe I’m a little oversensitive today , sorry for being critical, I wish you all the best

Keep up the good work. Don’t let the nego’s keep you from posting your thoughts.

I guess the bottom line here is that I would love to have the opportunity to see what kind of physique I could build. But I will never have it…hee hee

I’m an ectomorph. I build muscle easily and love carbs. When I work out, consistently and hard, I can develop the kind of body I want. Always obstacles. But I am working on it. You rock Amy, keep up the positive attitude and keep rocking those workouts.

Ah, fitclubmom - isn’t that the truth! We always seem to desire what "comes easily" to others. We’re funny animals that way. :)

But Amy, I believe I’d love to be a mesomorph, and see where THAT led me! ;P

  11. Belles Says:

Well now you all have me thinking! I’ve never thought about it and actually had to look it up to review the traits..lol! I’ll be asking my trainer this Tuesday - I’m not sure if I’m ectomorph or mesomorph. :)

  12. BuckSpin Says:

I’m now a believer in somatotypes. With everything I have read, online tests, etc. it turns out that under all that blubber all those years was a pretty decent mesomorph. Some of the things I can do training wise have no other explantion than this. That said, I am enjoying the challnge of trying to develop what I have to work with. 800something days out!
